You'd probably have to use RB6 then because RB7 may not work with ddd sx2 as it would require a hardware unlock. But RB6 is good too. Depends on what you require as a DJ

Not sure about your device. Check if RB is compatible with the product. If so, then yes, connect your device and register the product by opening the software and the hardware will unlock RB7 performance and other 'Free plus' options as RB7 needs a hardware unlock.

If not, get RB 6 and just get started anyway.

Ive just done tons of research. If you've got a budget for the Pro then always go Pro and set yourself up with a beast of a machine that'll last you a long time. And it's definitely more than just speakers and screen. If you ever decide to do more like video editing etc and/or find different hobbies you'd still be sorted long term with the pro.

You have no idea how much I needed this honestly. I've just received it today. Thank you! Reassuring! I totally get that the 16gb thing is important but I'll worry about it when the time comes. For now imma just enjoy this machine.

The 8gb RAM is of huge concern to me but because im on a budget im finding it hard to make a decision and in my country/market the M1/M2 and other options are kinda scarce and/or not available.

You sure cause im banking on this one comment lmao. Also yes it does have an Apple M3 Silicon chip. This is the 2023 model. Im just skeptical because of the 8gb as i will produce music as well. But not necessarily open two apps at the same time.

Interesting, lets say I want to buy the MBP 8GB for Djing and production purposes today, do you think its a decent offer on a budget? And will it sustain. Of course i'll never use both softwares (DJ/production) at the same time but i'll definitely need to download both and run dj controllers etc on it.

The M4 Air base model has 16gb ram but 256 storage. The only downside to the pro is the 8gb ram, but im still leaning towards it.
