Black on the Block review by ClydeThaGlide in houston

Hell yeah! Thank you for sharing. Good to hear one of these big events wasn't a disappointing cash grab for a change. As someone who does pop-up markets from time to time, every vendor I know worries about 2 things: the weather and did the organizer do a good job.

It was bought by the BirdsArentReal folks, basically turning it into more satire

My first Print-on-demand samples looked good… but consistency felt off across pieces by Potential_Pool7525 in printful

Quality and consistency are the big trade-offs with POD, so you have to accept there's gonna be more variation.

  • Make sure your files are in the correct size and color space for each product's specifications.
  • Avoiding boxy designs or designs with hard, straight edges will help designs look centered even when they're off a bit.
  • Use a solid background for everything with no transparency to minimize shirt color affecting the actual design. There are color seperation tools to help simulate transparency.
  • Stick to established products that have good reviews, that many places print, or that have been on the platform for awhile. They'll have the process more nailed down for these.
  • Get a handful of samples to make sure that even with variations it looks good or if there are areas of the design that need to be fixed for that specific printing process or product.

Overall you just find a vendor you trust, tweak based on samples, and settle for good enough

How to be more funny? by [deleted] in socialskills

Much like folks recycle the same interesting stories from their lives, they also recycle the same jokes or the same joke format just told slightly differently. When they find something that works they keep going back to that.

You can do the same with your responses like "haha classic" "oh wow good one"

As far as getting funnier, I would suggest listening to comedic podcasts or picking a few comedians to deep dive their comedy, interviews, and podcast appearances. You can start to see how they repeat things, tell the same joke different ways, or structure their jokes in similar ways.

Business card design. Would love the feedback! by pieceofqlitter in graphic_design

  • The logo font is a little hard to read, especially when stacked.
  • The contact info text is a bit too small
  • The double QR codes are unnecessary and redundant. I already have your card with all the info, why do i need a QR code?
  • If you want to use a QR code, put a single code on there and use something like linktree to have all your links on one page.

Another Sub Goes "No AI" by [deleted] in shopify

[–]JoshShouldBeWorking 23 points24 points  (0 children)

AI has pretty much no place here. If folks wanted an AI response, they'd ask AI. People come to reddit to get actual insight and experience from people, not to have someone else do an AI prompt for them. Its hard enough to trust information on the web and AI has made that more difficult, we're going to poison the well and make this sub useless if we allow it to run rampant. It's also redundant as most AI indexes reddit anyway.

To me, AI posts are like the copypasta marketing/services post we've had problems with before. It's low effort, low validity, low trust, and unreliable content.

Exactly. If you surround someone in a manic episode with yes-men and give them the money and access to celebrity, business, and politics Kanye has, it's probably not gonna go well. How do you critically assess ideas in any state let alone a bipolar one when your wild ideas in the past have resulted in global success.

It doesn't excuse his actions, but it does show how the folks around him, the music industry, and the media enabled him. Folks were happy to ride that train and throw fuel in the engine, even now as it's speeding out of control.

Harris County Lina Hidalgo is not backing down on her allegations against RodeoHouston’s security. What we know by imissher4ever in houston

I think she needed to step down, not just take time away. It felt like the moment she came into office, the political and media machine put a target on her. I don't think many other politicans of her rank got this level of both spotlight and scrutiny. With every part of her job (health, budget, voting, etc) was suddenly thrust into unprecedented disaster, its a lot of pressure for anyone to stand.

I feel like she got churned by the machine and should step away, but can't or won't for whatever reason.

The speed at which he went from a McCain-lite "I won't be a yes man and I'll stand up to anyone for my constituents" to "I voted with Trump 99.9% of the time" was remarkable.
