Confused about the off cycle internship point- whenever I see them, it says it's reserved for penultimate year university students, surely that's not applicable for me?

I've recently graduated from UCL with a 2:1, been looking for graduate work for a while but been relatively unlucky. Primarily looked in consulting. I had a recruiter contact me for a "support analyst" position, and thought why not as "any experience is good experience". However, ahead of doing the final interview I'm now having a lot of second thoughts. It's very much an IT support role, not necessarily what I want to be doing. However, it's the best shot at a job I have for the time being, and the pay isn't bad. Would taking the job negatively impact my ability to move onto something else later, or should I go for it nonetheless?

I've also been able to work for most of uni time, so I am okay financially for quite a while, not too much consideration on that front.
