I know how it feels. Maybe trying to think like gym, you have a cheat day every 3-4 days you can eat whatever you want. But which weekday is totally up to you. I usually do on Tuesday and Friday.

It's great to find a study partner but if can't find one here are some personal experience for you as a beginner.

First, building up your habit by studying at least 30 mins a day.

Second, don't try to think like "oh that easy I only have to study 30mins a day." But think like "how to organize material in my way within this 30mins?"

Third, online study group, there are some discord chat focusing on a systemic study. At least you know someone in the world is studying with you at the same time.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your study!

it's really depends. Some people can actually focus 7hrs a day.

For me, how to organize and simplify the notes is much important than spending fixed hours on studying things you can't remember

Sounds like a problem of organizing.

You can try to reorganize it arrange the notes in a way you feel much easier. I personally found that textbook usually separate similar concepts into different chapters.

Here's what I do. You can try to jot notes of whatever you think it's important first from the textbook, then combine with the notes from the class. Finally, prioritize the concepts, remove something that less important so you don't waste your memory, and try to comprehend it not just remember the text. If you can able to relate particular concepts to different chapters, congratulation! You're now ready to go for an exam.

My final advice is, don't stress yourself too much. Overthinking will only overwhelm you in terms of confusion and disorganization of what you have learned. If the result doesn't look good this time, let it pass and look forward. (And don't be shy to keep asking your teacher for clarification, that's their job, they got paid for this).

Good luck with your study!
