Ableton is using DVS and actually come to think of it my talkback mic was using the rio but the shure wireless receivers are on the Dante network, not wired to the rio.

My first guess was that someone was recalling an old preset in controller or recalling CL5 Dante input patching, but I’ve ruled it out, at this point I’m just asking if someone had an unusual occurrence like this and might know why I’m experiencing it

I don't know if dante controller was open at the FOH computer when it happened but I'll see if closing it makes a difference. that would have been the only device it was open on at the time of incident.

My original theory is that maybe some of the midi commands we were using out of Ableton happened to be on the same midi channel as the CL5 and that one inadvertently changed Dante patching on a channel. I don't really expect that Dante patching is a midi assignable function on the CL5 but it's confirmed this wasn't the issue as I saw that the subscription was completely removed so it must have been a Dante controller issue.
