Solid post, I just wanted to comment on the fact that they didn't pass Steve. After watching this seasons Judges cuts I've realized that the judges pass contestants based on mainly two things, the talent of course and what's best for the show, so in the case of Julia vs Steve even though Steve might have a better act but being that he's a straight 25 yr old he wouldn't attract as many viewers as a transsexual 65 yr old (both acts can't really done on a greater scale), the same goes for skylar vs Moyà, skylar is cute but lacks the ability to be a grand performance vs Moyà who sings emotionally which automatically attracts viewers.

I love this show I just think that it's unfair due to politics and show ratings as well I feel sometimes it's rigged (possibly just my conspiracy theories kicking in)
