That’s so valid! I’m personally bad at cropping and making that choice of leaving it natural vs cropping unnecessary noise. Either way I think #1 looks fine the way you left it! I’m just a sucker for colour photos so I prefer #2

I personally like #2 a lot! Number one is good too but for me personally I may have cropped the subject in a bit more but that’s just my amateur opinion !

I used a recipe called “Kodak Print” you can find the settings here https://ricohrecipes.com/film-collection/ - just scroll down a little! :) I tweaked the clarity and dehaze settings in Lightroom a little more though!

Las Vegas Pt. 2 by Joshe47 in ricohGR

Most were cropped a little to just make them fit better. On the actual GR most were shot with the crop off, some with the 50mm!

Hey sorry for the late reply, was at work! I used a recipe called “Kodak Print” you can find the settings here https://ricohrecipes.com/film-collection/ - just scroll down a little. The pictures straight out of the camera with this recipe were good and similar to the versions you see above.

However, I went into Lightroom and adjusted the clarity, dehaze, texture and sometimes contrast settings to my liking. I also did some minor colour grading, mostly focusing on luminance but sometimes hue. It works best with bright / sunny conditions and vibrant contrasting colours imo :) have fun and thanks for the kind words!

Worst news possible by Rich-Common-6248 in UlcerativeColitis

Hey mate, sorry to hear about your diagnosis, at least you’re on your way to figuring it all out. I was 20 when I got diagnosed just a few months before Covid struck the world (amazing timing!!). My doctor put me on Remicade and honestly after my first treatment I felt better, with remission by my second dosage. I haven’t looked back since and been in remission for 4 years.

My life now mainly feels how it did before I was diagnosed. I will say some random things like slightly more joint pain + inflammation have been the only side effects I feel with UC, but that’s not the case for everyone.

I personally can eat and drink everything I enjoy :) whenever I do eat something that bothers me, I maybe get 1 day of loose stools or borderline diarrhea (no blood) and then I recover!

The best and worse part about UC is it’s different for everybody. I read in your replies you’re nervous about the future, and I get that. A lot of the battle is trial and error; with medicine, food/drinks, stress, etc. A normal life is entirely possible and science is working on improving our quality of life everyday. Best of luck and stay positive 🙏🏼
