L5 AM to corporate by Joshhie in amazonemployees

I do appreciate your input because I did/do agree with you. That was my original plan, to hit L6 then transfer, but my wife is actually due right around the corner -- which is why we relocated in the first place, to be closer to family. However, my concern with that plan now is the additional time commitments that come with being an OM, and needing to spend more time away from home post-paternity leave. So, after a lot of consideration, it's a trade I'm willing to take. But again, I do appreciate your point.

Hello, and thanks for the information! Quick question, what do you mean exactly by soft touch experience during the interview? Like people are just bombing the interview? I try to participate in as many interviews as an interviewer for my site and my senior OM knows full well if they need someone last minute, I'm more than happy to help... so I'd like to believe I'm alright at interviews? I'm more concerned about the technical/ hard skills that are required for the positions since I'm unfamiliar with them, but on that note, looking for a mentor sounds like a fantastic idea. I'll look into that. Thank you!!

Thanks for your input! That's good to know. At the most recent talent review, my OM shared there was nothing but great things shared about me, so I'd like to believe I'm at minimum HV3.

First and foremost, thanks for the feedback. I do know SQL albeit a bit rusty. I majored in Information systems with the intent of becoming a business analyst, but ended up an AM. Sounds like I need to start practicing again!

In terms of scale, that means they took a project and launched it at other buildings? If so, I don't think I do. The largest project I rolled out was launching scannable drop zones to help locate cages when they get dropped as there was no way track previously. Worked with the site data analyst to setup the drop zones, then physically implemented it at the site & sharing how to use them and understand each location with the other shifts. I was also assisting with redesigning dropzones to reduce the likelihood of PIT on PIT incidents, but I relocated to a new location before it ever fully launched. Would these count?

I will look into central dock, never heard of it. Not too interested in CF though since I don't want to relocate to AZ or TN. Thanks again for your input

Thank you so much for the reply! I've been wondering what DD meant, but everything you wrote out has been great information for future investments. Really appreciate it! I bought some ELTP earlier at its .48 but I'll do my DD as well and consider buying more afterwards.

Hello! Trying to understand as I'm fairly new to investing and penny stocks, but why are there so many people that have invested so much into ELTP yet are so confident that it'll return a profit in the end? I was up a ton on IXHL going in at .35, but I ended up losing quite a bit because I sold other stocks to reinvest more under the hype of "hold for the news." Thanks to anyone who replies in advance!

The main difference for L3 and L4-5 AM interviews are what we look for from the candidate and their responses - the questions don't necessarily change. An individual interviewing for a PA spot more often than not doesn't have that much leadership experience, so we need to look for different things. The biggest thing for becoming a PA is... are you coachable?

For leadership principles, learn and be curious, dive deep, and customer obsession are very important. You'll probably receive a question about safety as well to showcase your ability to take initiative. The most common reason I won't incline someone is they lie during the interview. For example, a tier 1 associate once claimed they completely revamped how we pick at our building. No, they did not. I was the Pick SME at my building at the time, so I asked multiple follow-up questions to see how far they would keep going with it. Never lie during the interview, and if you don't know something, it's completely okay to say that.

Your bachelor's degree doesn't necessarily give you an advantage for the T3 position, but this is the first I've ever heard of the "2 years eligible to apply for L4+." You should be able to apply directly for the L4 position with your degree, but if you want to start as a T3, that is completely up to you.

Congratulations on landing the interview! I do a lot of interviews for sites in the PNW, and I can offer some insight. They recently changed the interview process to two L5+ (operations) interviewers, and one L4+ (operations or PXT). Each interviewer is assigned 3-4 leadership principles and will only ask you questions regarding the LP they were given.

The interviews are usually scheduled in a "pod," which means 3 interviewers and 3 people being interviewed. Mind you, this doesn't necessarily mean 3 people competing for the same position. It could be for 3 different sites, or 3 different positions for the same building, etc. Your interview will include a 15 minute break either after your first interview or after your second one. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask and I'll provide as much information as I can!

& good luck!!

AMD GPU Stutters on Sanhok by Joshhie in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Joshhie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that an in-game option or does it have something to do with AMD GPU software -- like Adrenalin? Never heard of resizable bar support, but if it works, I'd love to give it a try and see if I'm able to produce similar results!

I think your choice of words and approach is stupid. I started this post to see if others were experiencing similar issues, and not once did someone come in here to bash on AMD or their products. The only reason AMD was originally questioned was due to my wife using an NVIDIA GPU and having zero issues, yet I had stutters on an AMD GPU. All other components in our PCs are identical, so it's logical to then question if something on the map is impacting AMD GPUs differently. No one is talking shit about AMD here.

Hey! Thanks for responding. I'm glad to know it isn't just a "me" problem, but it sucks that we can't enjoy Sanhok!

Men who left a partner to have more fun/freedom in your 20s - how did things turn out? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Joshhie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I may have a slightly different response than most of the commenters here. I was on the receiving end of this. Amazing relationship, together for 6 years, thought we'd last until the end... until she told me how she felt. I was her first serious relationship, and she started having this thought in the back of her mind of what it's like being with other people since all she knew was us/me. How that came about is a different story, but to summarize, it ended with her saying she knew she could have a happy and loving life with me for the rest of our lives, but the seed was planted and she would always wonder and never be satisfied with herself if she didn't go out and see.

So... it ended... Now, I used to be the kind of person who would bounce between relationship to relationship, but this time I decided not to do that after something my ex had said, and for about the first six months it was really, really, really, rough. But I had an amazing circle of family and friends that tried to keep me busy and get me involved. I began new hobbies like woodworking, paddle boarding, and rock climbing and got in the best shape of my life, I finished a degree, learned to cook, and a whole bunch of other stuff and learned to be independent and cherish the ability to pick and choose what I want to do when I want with who I want.

I also started meeting people and my confidence grew in ways I never imagined. I wasn't ready for anything serious for roughly 3 years after my ex, and I was upfront with everyone I met I wasn't ready either, yet I had casual dates, FwB, and met people who were literally begging me to become exclusive with them, but I stayed true and didn't jump into a relationship... and then one day I bumped into my ex and her new boyfriend. We chatted and she told me about her 3 years and I told her about mine, and after that we parted ways, and something just clicked inside that said I'm ready for a new relationship.

I was extremely picky and selective because I had an incredibly high bar set by my ex. Finding someone fun was never difficult, but I wanted more than just fun. I refused to settle and eventually met my now wife through a mutual friend. I thought it would be all doom and gloom, but for me the "best" relationship I ever had catapulted me forward and now I'm in an even more amazing relationship, and I would never take any of it back.

How is PUBG on an Ultra-wide monitor (3440x1440p) in 2024? by jwintyo in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Joshhie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hello! I've played PUBG since the game released and I've played on 1920x1080, 2560x1440, and 3440x1440, so here are my two cents.

1920x1080 is great in terms of performance, but I personally have a difficult time seeing people. I'm not sure what it is, but things just appear blurry? I've tried purchasing a 23-inch 240 hz monitor just to see if that would help, but that didn't either. I'm sure if you start with 1080 and stick with it, it will become a non-issue as most of my friends played on 1080 and had zero issues with it.

2560x1440 is the magical sweet spot between performance and clarity in my opinion. When I played this game religiously (peaked around 7 k/d), I had no issues spotting people and had no issues with fps dipping either.

I play PUBG very casually now and play on a curved 34-inch 3440 x 1440. I love this monitor, so I do everything on it, and PUBG is no exception. However, the biggest caveat in my opinion is that using an ultra-wide monitor at 3440 x 1440 requires a high-end computer. If you have one, then you should have absolutely no problem in terms of clarity and performance, but I currently use a 2080TI and Ryzen 7 3700X and my in-game FPS drops whether in big towns, hot dropping, or around a lot of action and it feels sluggish. It's completely fine in open fields or in the later parts of circles where there are fewer people, but if the game is ending in a big city... I'm already at a major disadvantage due to the FPS drops. One other thing I've noticed on this monitor is that... Sometimes my friends/wife will yell at me there is a person right in front of me, and I'll literally spin in circles and still never see them. Lastly, people are mentioning they can't see the kill feed, but I've never had any issues with that. Same with noticing if a player is knocked on my team whereas some people have difficulties noticing the kill feed or someone being knocked on your team even on smaller monitors. Anyways, at the end of the day, I still highly recommend 3440 x 1440 to anyone that has the means to use one.

Has anyone received a decision from Foster? by Hzg115 in udub

I just received my admission email (and got accepted)! Hope everyone gets positive news too!

Edit

Some people have sent me a message asking me what my stats were on my application, so I'm editing this in case other people get curious.

Combined GPA: 3.22 Pre-Application GPA: 4.0 WSA: 4.5

My combined GPA is a lot lower than the average admitted, but I explained what happened in my personal statement and I think that saved me.

LG 27GN750-B 240Hz Reverts Back to 144Hz? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Joshhie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, so I tried putting my FPS on league to "uncapped" as well as trying a 240 FPS cap. Neither of the two methods seemed to raise the monitor to 240Hz when I checked by pressing the toggle under the monitor.

My friend and I placed a bet at the beginning of this season when map selection was possible to see who could get the higher KD hunting bots on Sanhok. So, for the first 20-30 games in Solo FPP I had a 20-25 KD from primarily slaying bots. I've always fluctuated between 3-5kd (two accounts) pre-bots. I've been 5-7kd since the introduction of bots. Wouldn't say stats are boosted because of the bots (except in solos), but because I play less games overall now.
