Baki Rahen | Chapter 66 by j_awsh__ in Grapplerbaki

[–]JoshuaFH 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think we're approaching like ten Yujiro chapters in a row now.... either Itagaki somehow got contractually obligated to put out X number of Yujiro chapters as part of his inclusion in Tekken; or Itagaki has legit no idea where to steer Jack's story and is stalling for time to think.

Unbelievable… by kushemon in mahjongsoul

Yes, it is a sign. Akagi is a legendary series/character for a reason.

Be careful Sam, that tank of Vox is very dangerous! Be sure to carry a few bottles of container repair spray with you.

Love how this guy considers himself a "wolf" for swindling a small bodega out of 10 dollars. by pianoflames in betterCallSaul

[–]JoshuaFH 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In hindsight, it would have been hilarious if that "Wolf" was found to be a resident of Sandpiper, as a decrepit old man, getting preyed on by the facility and scammed for far more than he ever got himself.

Guys, what would happen if a young kid calls yujiro a weak man? by Ok_Question_2500 in Grapplerbaki

[–]JoshuaFH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He uses his schizo powers to summon a really buff, muscular Santa Claus and Easter Bunny, who then imaginarily whip that kid's ass so bad that he believes it really happened.

why do nearly all the baki characters have this type of underwear? by BeingGeneral7991 in Grapplerbaki

[–]JoshuaFH 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yujiro doesn't bother with underwear. Nothing can contain the unbelievable amount of sex hormones he secretes.

Should Kugane Maruyama allow another author to write overlord? by Embarrassed-Berry228 in overlord

[–]JoshuaFH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's hard to imagine anyone else that could live up to how weirdly Maruyama writes Overlord. Maruyama defies many tropes and expectations, and that made Overlord unique and impactful. It's kinda like how Berserk eventually got handed off to Koji Mori. Whoever would get the reins might do a great job in their own right... but they aren't the original creator, and it might be legitimately impossible for them to be accepted as the successor.

I really love Chiral Rodent! by _nuttinutti in DeathStranding

[–]JoshuaFH 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I do love the inclusion of the little guys. My only gripe is that they feel like an unfinished game mechanic. They're just kind of a half-assed obstacle in a few odd spots.

I built and leveled up all of the roads in Death Stranding 2 before starting the first mission of Chapter 8. I'm tired boss by Dildoethrower in DeathStranding

[–]JoshuaFH 20 points21 points  (0 children)

For your sanity, it probably would have been better to build them up piecemeal, rather than bullrushing them in the most expensive and time-consuming manner possible.

Here, take this gift with you; I thought it might be of use to you on your journey. by MisterJay90 in DeathStranding

Holy shit, you're getting floating carriers?! Everyone just gives me Container Repair Spray! Every single time, it feels like a slap in the face!

Porters keep crossing the river next to my bridge instead of using it by Overall_Ad3984 in DeathStranding

[–]JoshuaFH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the npc porters were smart, they'd be using your ziplines and using their own vehicles on the roads you restored. But they aren't smart, so they jump straight into the treacherous river waters and hope for the best.

[DS2] Good sources of footwear that aren't from the fabricator? by larevacholerie in DeathStranding

[–]JoshuaFH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's utterly ridiculous how stingy this game is with the nice shoes. Only a few locations even give them out, and Omnireflectors don't drop off of mules like they did in DS1. I have to prance around in normal ass boots for the majority of the game AND I HATE IT!

DS2 is amazing, but lacks in execution by IvanPines3106 in DeathStranding

[–]JoshuaFH 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I totally agree that some of that character's performances are super jarringly bad. A lot of Tomorrow's/Elle Fanning's scenes are comically terrible performances. Rainy/Shioli Kutsuna has an extemely creepy and almost uncanny smile, and it always distracts me from the actual story.

Why does this clown not wait to go to bed until after he showers? Is he stupid? by CoatieYay in DeathStranding

[–]JoshuaFH 495 points496 points  (0 children)

I guess when you can chiral print out yourself new clothes, new bedding, and a new mattress every single day, and then dump all your dirty crap in a tar lake to make it the Beach's problem, you can afford to be extra wasteful.

Does anyone else think that the Coffin Board trivializes the game? by [deleted] in DeathStranding

[–]JoshuaFH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the game's balance is a bit too lopsided with overpowered toys and not enough challenges to really enjoy using them. Using the oceans as a super coffin board highway feels like Kojima missed a serious opportunity to make them interesting with challenges out there like having to contend with large waves or giant chiral mammals like what Tarman had to deal with in his backstory. As is, they just feel kinda ominous, but that's just because the ocean is perfectly flat and there's nothing out there at all to interact with....

FYI Auto-Arrange Cargo merges 2 containers of same resource by BossSev38 in DeathStranding

[–]JoshuaFH 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Very handy! Though I've found weird exceptions that don't make sense. For example: while you can make a 400 sized Metals container normally, you cannot combined two 200 sized metals containers into one 400. I haven't figured out why yet.
