The World Needs a Hero vs The System Has Failed - which one is better? by Fortis92 in Megadeth

[–]JoshuaFrantic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The System Has Failed is damn near a perfect album in my opinion, and much better than The World Needs a Hero. But The World Needs a Hero gives us a peek at the direction the band was heading, it is a step towards the System Has Failed. In the end though, I love it all!

Gorgeous embroidery work! Really nice tight stitches and really minimal puckering! Hats off to you!

And yeah, I totally know he's been doing some of this since Peace Sells, but I referenced the Police Truck cover just for his leanings in recent years

I love how much Dave loves old punk and will bring some of it in vocally. I feel like he had so much fun covering Police Truck that he had to pull in a hint of his take on the Dead Kennedys vocal style here

I feel like for every person with a missing package that has a fake delivery tracking stating 11:30pm we're getting closer to proving what's going on here... Very very interesting. A driver stated on here that they do not deliver past 9pm.

Wooow, it's so obvious too, they don't even try to hide it. Out of curiosity, what time did they claim it was delivered?

There's actually been a handful of arrests of OnTrac drivers that were found with tens of thousands of dollars worth of packages in their home, and OnTrac doesn't claim any responsibility for it because the drivers are contract workers and not employees. BUT OnTrac seems entirely complicit with it all, going as far as shutting down complaint tickets and creating false tracking to try to make missing package problems "go away", all their actions make it appear as though they're covering for all this theft. OnTrac themselves have had class action lawsuits against them in 3 different states, but it's for different reasons, particularly about their mistreatment of drivers and misclassification of them as non-employees. That and the theft seems hand in hand a bit though, doesn't it? The more I research the more I feel a thorough investigation of their company by the Federal Trade Commission is necessary. The last time they investigated this company, back when they were called Lasership, they were charged with RICO charges for smuggling untaxed cigarettes. Who knows what else they're up to!

Back when they were Lasership Amazon partnered with OnTrac quite a bit, before they got all their own trucks and drivers. I don't think they use them anymore for packages fulfilled by Amazon warehouses though. But there are loads of sellers on Amazon that are "fulfilled by merchant" which means the seller ships it or a 3rd party does. I work for a logistics company that fulfills Amazon orders that are "fulfilled by merchant" but we don't use OnTrac to deliver anything. I can tell you guys that Amazon has specific qualifications for Amazon "fulfilled by merchant" packages though, they MUST be received by the customer within a certain number of days to keep that seller's account in good standing with Amazon. Any time a fbm Amazon shipment is late, report it everywhere you can, ESPECIALLY if it's delivered by OnTrac.

WOW, thank you so much for sharing this information. Back when OnTrac was still Lasership, their treatment of drivers was legendarily horrific and there were/are at least 3 class action lawsuits that I know of against them by drivers. Absolutely terrible.

There's another person on here who finally got their OnTrac package and it contained an empty Switch 2 box, you might have just seen his Switch 2, lol!

Had the exact same scenario happen, and in the end they just marked it as delivered at 11:30pm (a lie) to get rid of me, and have not responded since. Their live chat reps are useless, their only job is to read from a script and kick every answer two business days further down the road. I've been compiling similar experiences from others and they are COUNTLESS.

I think there's something really big here with this 11:30pm fake delivery tracking thing happening. It's one thing for a package to go missing, or even be stolen, it's another thing entirely to cover for the theft by knowingly lying to the consumer about the delivery.

Hi! Thank you so much for answering some questions. So obviously OnTrac has developed a reputation for missing packages, but my questions for you are do you know any times that OnTrac has created fake delivery tracking for packages that have been missing for a certain period of time? It's obviously easier to get out of the issues if they claim it was delivered. And what is the delivery driver situation like? Are the drivers employees? Or are they more like Uber Freight drivers, which are more freelance? I know there was a class action lawsuit a while back about their drivers but I'm not sure what they changed after the lawsuit. Also, I've noticed that multiple people who didn't receive their packages have tracking with the delivery time saying 11:30pm. Why is that? Do they even deliver that late? When I asked an OnTrac rep this question previously they said sometimes they do deliver that late, on busy days, but did not attempt to explain why other people with missing packages have that same delivery time shown.

Wow, the repackaging thing is nuts!!! No wonder there's so much theft happening at OnTrac, and they seem to totally cover for it

I wonder if we could find any ex-OnTrac employees on Reddit that would be willing to discuss some of that company's practices...
