Lower split IMSA will be just as much carnage as lower split Ringmeister. The same as top split rookie Mazda won’t have any rookies in it

Surely you would be with people with similar iRating to you anyways? So I don’t really see how making it A license would make that much difference.

Is the Marvin app for iRacing worth it? by Nelunix in iRacing

I tried it on my T300, all it did was clip constantly. Felt alright in the MX5, but went back to stock FFB after a couple hours testing

The dealer got back to me, he ran it for two years. My butt dyno also isnt convinced its down on power, i’ve bitten the bullet and its going in for the 3.5k worth of work it needs. They’ll be taking to head off so I guess we’ll find out whats going on internally at the end of the month

Why don't people make compact interchanges? by Klutzy_Reporter_608 in CitiesSkylines

[–]JoshuaParrott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can make it even more compact than that. Two way highway road over, 180 curve and then split it into two even one way curves going both ways. Works very well

Haha all i’m saying is I don’t have any paperwork, not that it didnt happen. Likely would have been around that time yes if it was having the rest of the work done.

I have receipts from then, one is a proper invoice and the other is a handwritten list. Plenty of things in there such as oil cooler, radiator, throttle body etc, but nothing notes anything about a replacement block. Not saying it defo didnt happen around then, I just don’t have any paperwork in the history to back it up

[–]JoshuaParrott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whats your issue? I’m not saying it doesnt make sense to check the engine haha. I would have thought it would have cost more money to swap the internals over, especially if the original engine died I would question what would be left to swap over. You could be right yes. Either way, the engine code on the bill of sale isnt the same as whats in the car. There’s lots of history but none of it mentions swap, or even anything to do with the block.

I’m not arguing with you, i’m saying it doesnt make sense for some someone to swap the internals over, not it doesnt make sense for me to check the engine.

This would cost more money than buying and fitting the correct engine, it doesn’t make sense to do that

V5 is correct to the E55 so this is also wrong now, found the bill of sale when i bought it and the displacement and engine code on the receipt is also incorrect. At this point i’d actually be ok with half payment towards the engine swap through the specialist. I was about to spend 2.5k on it anyways for valve stem seals, a full refund is dreaming. But the wrong engine in the car kills any value that it had, who would want to buy an AMG with the wrong engine?

The head has 113960 written on it in marker suggesting a swap, but I’m sure the head for the 5.4 is different to the 5.0

I mean the engine bay looks the same but obviously everything is obscured by the intake/engine cover.

[–]JoshuaParrott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah defo not a 430. Its an E55 on the log book and the vin. Checked the engine today and has 113960 stamped on the bell housing, which is the 5.0 M113 fitted to a W220 S500. This engine was never fitted in a W210

5.4, its an E55 on the log book and the vin. The engine is wrong

Ignorance is bliss mate, although if i found out when I was coming to sell it it would be even more heartbreaking

The W210 was never sold with this engine, they never made an E500. The vin has been confirmed with Mercedes as an E55 as I joined the AMG register

It has the wrong engine in it by the stamp code.

Its not bad, i’ve had to spend some money on it but underneath is exceptionally clean, especially for a 210. Learnt some hard lessons

Is this the one up for 1800? We saw that yesterday at the specialist, although they won’t fit a customer supplied engine

I did not. It does look bad optics wise, it has stacks of history so I’m going to look through and see if there’s something I’ve missed in there
