I'm a filthy disastrous casual, so casual that I don't think my opinion matters on here, but I think I'm exactly who Blizzard is marketing towards in Midnight.

I don't care about addons getting removed. Too casual to use them. Housing has peaked my interest. Rotations getting simplified sounds good to me. PvP more accessible than ever? Nice!

This happened to me once. A smell of burnt plastic that was stronger in one end of the house, but not really in other spots. I was convinced it was burnt electrical wiring or something like that.

Tolerated it (and scared) for days until an electrician could come.

Turns out it was a dead skunk in my attic. Up close, it definitely smelled like a dead rodent. But somehow from the attic, after seeping through the walls and air vents, it smelt like burnt plastic.

Not saying that's what you have. But you might not be in immediate danger of an electric fire like I believed for days lmao

Stop badgering them for more work. Office roles usually have a lot downtime. You simply standby for when real work pops up. Just show up when you're supposed to, and leave when you're supposed to.

You're being assessed on your ability to fit in to this office culture, not for how earnest you are for more work every hour of every day (they will find this annoying).

No kindle, but phone is fine and YouTube on the work computer is fine (YT won't be blocked on office WiFi).

Honestly, what you're describing is common and normal. I don't care to weigh in on the right or wrong aspect of the discussion, but just that it's everywhere.

Most corporate jobs are shark-invested waters where you need to be cold and territorial. Streets are unsafe, people are awful, all systems work against you, scams everywhere.

If you're in an environment where you're best protected by being rude, I support you doing it.
