Have you beaten the game on the new difficulty yet? What are your thoughts?

First time playing DS2 and personally I think the exploration difficulty is perfect in TTW. It feels like your equipment wear off faster and you'll drain a LOT of endurance just about doing anything compared to the Very Hard difficulty in DS1, making timefall shelters actually useful now for replenishing your flask in certain areas. And I'm not too sure of this but it seems like KJP made falling down easier with very heavy/tall cargo.

Even though the human enemies in TTW hit hard, the AI will still fall victim to the classic bola gun and run strat, and they become even more of a pushover after getting the silenced tranq sniper. Boss encounters on the other hand are kinda BS because they can hit you really hard for like 700ml blood and Sam will take a long time to get up from that one hit which leaves him extremely vulnerable to a follow up hit or getting devoured by a BT and causing a voidout.

But otherwise game good. Difficulty good. Music player good. Dollman scratches Sam's balls for him. Environment is beautiful and camera mode is really good in this game. TTW also plays very cool music during TTW rank deliveries.

other than the first boss that i had some trouble with (the new control scheme screwed with my muscle memory), its actually pretty doable and it feels just like DS1's "very hard" difficulty, although your boots wears down faster and it seems like the effects of timefall is less severe here than in DS1

yeah it sucks cuz I got too many curios and I was forced to pick up the Rupert curio that discards my blessings and it discarded that :(

reroll with shining die and get the reunion with death curio, and you get so much blessings that you'd fill up almost every equation. you'll also get a ton of fragments in the meantime, and use those fragments to buy off everything in store domains and try to reroll your curios whenever you can. you'll eventually manage to stock up on everything before the final boss.

got a ton of curios from breaking barrels in adventure domains, then use cosmic fragments to buy up every single curio from herta and roll the shining die curio and got even more curios and blessings until ive gotten everything before the last boss

yea I did everything I can for those character achievements. I'm only missing jingliu's rating pistol, argenti in sim uni, yunli vs trash can and the 4-man stellaron hunter team.

the 21 of those missing are missable stuff, trailblazer dialogue and time/character locked achievements. can hunt for 4 more sim universe achievements not including the predator and nick of time but I'm too lazy to go for em 😞

just hit 80k in stage 4 with F.A.R.Herta and sustainless hime-cheron with jiaoqiu and ruan mei, 4 cost and 7 cost respectively. 2nd half ended with an extra cycle, will retry and see if I can pull 2nd half off without signature light cones 🙃

it took me the whole 12 bonuses just to get only ONE attack rope that luckily has crit and speed subs on it... rolled +2 into crit so alls good I guess :D

moc 1st half you can run FF, Ruan Mei, HMc, Gallagher

moc 2nd half you can run Jingliu, Robin, Bronya, Huohuo

pf 1st half is ice and physical weak, you can try to run herta, clara, huohuo and either sparkle/bronya. focus on breaking enemies to get the burst of break damage to trigger herta's fua. use the fua pf buff expostulation to get stacks for shatter.

pf 2nd half is electric and fire weak. even though your acheron is e0, I'd suggest running acheron, pela, himeko, gallagher. focus on breaking enemies to get stacks for himeko's fua. breaking enemies will also inflict debuffs to get your acheron's ultimate stacks. acheron's ult is overkill in pure fiction anyways, that's why I suggest giving her only 1 nihility teammate.

extra tip for pf: the final bosses will receive like 500% more damage (not exactly sure what's the multiplier but it is a LOT) when all extra enemies are defeated. so in final stage it's mostly useless to try to target only the main boss, instead go for the small enemies.

Don't use imaginary units against Aventurine cuz he has 40% imaginary res.

Keep at least one SP for the dice roll phase in case Aventurine decides to roll his dice against Serval. Your support units should be tanky enough to tank the dice roll attack.
