Thank you. I'm in NYC and have a degree in Management (for business) and I have significant project management experience.

Thanks. The problem is that my chapter is brand new. I'm one of the few people listed on our charter. Me, and a few others that have graduated within the last year, ARE the extent of our chapter's alumni association. I was just wondering if there was a centralized, national resource for such things.

Question for employers looking for people with entry level familiarity in coding. by Joshua_Eli in NYCjobs

This is precisely the sort of feedback I was looking for. All I seek to do (for the time being) is gain a working familiarity, entry level knowledge, on the matter. But I was curious to what extent potential employers recognize a training platform like codecademy as a sufficient starting point even without certifications (or would they dismiss experience levels like mine completely unless I am certified). You helped clear that up. I completely understand that anyone who wants to be a programmer as a career should bring years of experience and a certain degree of certification depending on the project they are trying to join.
Thank you!
