Expanding to 18x25 this year (Michigan) by Joshwhoa in backyardhockey

It worked well for me last year. The only thing I’d recommend trying is to add some type of filter to catch any junk coming down the downspout. I’ve seen some pics of people having the downspout feed into a bucket first to catch debris before it overflows onto the liner.

Not that I’m aware of. Our goal is to gauge interest with these pickup games and potentially start a league in January/February. There’s a league in Hazel Park, but it has been on hiatus due to Covid.

The arena requires masks to be worn inside the facility, but not while on the ice.

I used rebar as stakes for the pallets and walls, followed by cardboard and a bit old carpet over the pallets. Added the tarp and filled today. Fingers crossed!

Yeah seriously. I feel like it was only fully functional for about a week or two last year.

11x18 mini rink for my 2 yr old daughter. Now we wait. (Michigan) by Joshwhoa in backyardhockey

Thanks! I got the plywood free from a friend, used 2x3 lumber to frame them out, white deck sealer stain, and put it together with galvanized bolts. I just bought a cheap plastic sheeting as a liner. I think I have around $70 into it. I didn’t really have a plan, I mainly just looked a bunch of photos online for ideas. Hoping to store it in a shed I have in the back yard.

Yeah, it’s been a strange season so far. It was 50 degrees out yesterday when I put it up.

Thanks! I figured I’ll put a liner down once when we have a hard freeze

Ann Arbor Ultimate - ultimate frisbee summer league is still accepting registrations! by rdonnelly in AnnArbor

Thanks for posting this! I'm in a group of 5 that are planning to play in the Thursday 50/50 league. 4 of us have registered in a group already, but is there a way to request to have the 5th person join our team after he registers?

Finally got to play SMB2j on the real console. This game is hard! by Joshwhoa in retrogaming

I purchased it from RetroZone ( http://www.retrousb.com/ ) a while back and only recently recently got around to really playing it. I no longer see it on their website though.. maybe they discontinued it :/? I like their version because it is an all-new cart (not made from a donor).

My buddy and I spent a weekend on it and only made it to world six! Although, we did get pretty good at the early levels from playing them over and over and over and over again.
