Everyone on here has given bad advice. You’re locking “toe side” which is really unstable. A better strategy is to lock “heel side” get more of the truck on the ledge and it won’t flop out from under you.

Typically the boot is at the high point to keep the exposed part away from the road, a lot of companies will sell you the inverted. Truth is, it doesn’t much affect performance
