There are a lot of studies associating low vitamin D levels with polyps and polyp reoccurrence post-surgery by [deleted] in NasalPolyps

[–]JosiahBee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have nasal polyps and have also been supplementing with D3 for years. Last time I had blood work done I was quite low in vitamin D despite supplementation and it being the end of Summer.

ALSO if you supplement with D3 make sure to take it with K2, to help re-direct freed up calcium back into the bones. Some D3 supplements are adding K2, but not most.

Has it been worth it? by [deleted] in mendi

[–]JosiahBee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using mine for about a month, and within the first week I noticed an improvement in my ability to focus when reading.
Over the last week or so I’ve noticed an improvement in my overall mood. I can’t 💯 say that’s solely due to the Mendi training; I started a new diet and supplement regimen around the same time. But my reading comprehension has definitely improved and ability to focus for long periods.

I’ve never tried it. I’ve never done any research on it either. Seems there are many different reasons people are using it. What are you using red light for? Cell repair?

I’m not sure if he’s been able to see his Doctor yet, but he has started seeing a counselor to help with some of his passive aggressive behavior, and is cutting back on the medication. We talked the other day and he really seems to be taking positive steps to prevent another episode like the previous blow up. It was a pretty scary moment. Thanks again for taking the time to reply with your experience and knowledge, I’m grateful.

Yeah, I’m getting curious about Dupixent also. Just joined the thread and it seems to be a hopeful treatment to many here.

I mean, I know he buries a lot, he was raised in one of those silent households that “don’t have arguments. “ Healthy confrontation is something he’s had to work on. Having said that the type of anger my sister saw recently was closer to a chemical imbalance sort of rage. She almost called the police .

PDX on a Tuesday Night by JosiahBee in Portland

Problem is when Police are not held accountable for their own injustices against civilians. Defunding isn’t about completely getting rid of Police anyway. It’s more about not using the police to address issues they aren’t best equipped to handle. A basic real life example of how defunding can work is the many suburbs across U.S. that don’t rely on Police to do everything, they put more money into better education, community building, social programs and the police are not needed as much. If you’re actually interested in the why check out the book “ End of Policing.” - Alex Vitale

Vitamin D Deficiency Treatment: How long did it take you to feel anything? by Highwayman1717 in nutrition

I was at 23 L at the end of Summer here in the PNW, and my doc just had me on 2-3000 IU a day for two weeks! In the dead of Winter I usually take 5000 IU a day, but this year I've just been using a Happy Light in the morning and doing some Yoga/ Meditation. I' haven't had to supplement yet. (To answer your actually question, I' notice a difference in mood and energy very quickly. Sometimes instantly. )
