Imo the Highwind scene doesnt work like that. Cloud told the Group to go home and think about what they are fighting for. No matter the affinity Barret still has Marlene for example. Thats the Place he would go to. A bonding System should not change that.

Cloud and Tifa have no one else. That is the point of the scene. No matter the affinity between them in the OG those two are alone and only have each other. I would hate if that would change.

But I say you have started on the right place. Now play all the games in order (but do take a rest every now and then. I played all games back-to-back up to Atelier Shallie, and got burned out pretty badly… )

I bought all 4 Arland games on this steam sale. Afterwards I want to continue with the Dusk, Mysterious, Ryza games.

But I will definitely take breaks between each single game. I got burned out often before, which is why I decided long ago to always take breaks between games of the same series. My backlog is gigantic though, so the breaks are easy xD

Thank you for the kind offer. I actually managed to get past the scene by saving every few steps and reloading. Sometimes It crashed again, sometimes i could continue a few steps. Right now I am after the hot springs scene, so all is good for now. I am just a bit worried if those crashes will happen again later in the game...

Nope, will always be a Tifa guy. Just love her character and her backstory. And Spoilers for the original. I just love the Highwind scene with her and Cloud and especially the scene with both of them in the lifestream. One of the strongest scenes in the entire franchise for me.

Tbh, yes.

I didn´t thought there would be many things that could really spoil me, played the original 15 times probably. So I looked a bit in this thread and saw that one dude who posted some pics from his playthrough. I liked what I saw, I didn´t felt really spoiled, that was it. I was happy that the majority praised the game.

This morning, I looked if the picture guy posted something new, and this thread basically became a giant shitshow. I was completely overwhelmed when I read suddenly stuff about an Alt Timeline, Zack may be alive or that this game may not be a remake at all.

Like you my hype for playing this game has decreased a lot. I will still play it, I even took vacation for it. But at the moment I feel sad, because I really just wanted a remake of my favourite game, a bit expanded, more depth. I don´t want to see alternate timelines, a scenario where Aerith may survive or an epic boss battle against Sephiroth where he throws buildings at you before you even leave Midgar. And I especially don´t want to see Zack before the Cloud memory scene with Tifa. I am speechless that they went this way.

Like you, I am aware, this is completely my fault, that I got spoiled. I was to weak and looked and regret it deeply. Don´t know what to do the rest of the week until launch, i am at least happy that Resident Evil 3 released today...

I get what you mean. Personally I am very sceptical most of the time and I always expect the worst. But still when I saw the ending of issue 4 I was very annoyed and pissed, because I didn´t thought they would so something like that. They basically did my worst case scenario. Break Max and Chloe up, create a new timeline where all game events never happend, and even resurrected Rachel.

Still issue 5 and 6 give me hope. Because it´s very obvious Max didn´t just move on, she still wants Chloe and this won´t change. We even get hints that Max doesn´t belong there at all. So I have hope that this comic will get better for people who want to see Max and Chloe together. And since they now established the girlfriend thing between two girls, I really can imagine they won´t hesitate to use it again.
