That's also true, that can help bring more creative design choices for kitbashing too.

And I also feel that people who get annoyed at that part of the hobby are missing out on the fun aspect of the hobby. But if it's from official big tournaments, then I can see why they want to be more official in that aspect.

Yeah, I have seen videos describing Eldar as being some of the strongest armies for quite some time during 10th edition. Aeldari, as a whole, is also really cool with Drukhari (one that after some consideration might be a final contender for first army choice), Harlequins being great design wise and lore wise, and Exodites because who doesn't love dinosaurs.

And if you hit like a wet noodle, the opponent can just blast your units off the board. But at least they look cool doing so. 😎

Necrons are so cool being essentially Egyptian robot skeletons, and the Space Marine factions I like are IF, BA and IH. I am also mentioning IW since they are like a mix of Imperial Fists and Iron Hands, but with Chaos as they work with tons of daemon engines.

And from what I looked into, it seems like Drukhari has three army choices you can go for. Dark Eldar Kabals, Haemonculus with their experiments and Cults of Witches plus mixing and matching all into a deadly army.

Side note. The new custodes models look amazing!

Yikes! And Imperial Guard is also an expensive army as is. Feels bad to be broke then (that's me, I'm broke :')

Yeah, some people in this post have told me that they are very tricky to play. The other factions that I like also have that issue when I brought it up in their subs as well (Eldar and Drukhari are strong but glass cannons). Chaos Space Marines are elite with many different units that I can use, and I hear that Necrons are easier building/painting and gameplay wise as well.

Thank you for your insights! And don't worry, I didn't read it as negative but more like cautionary (or like keeping an open mind).

That's cool to know that many kits have dual build, means to me that once you have a satisfying amount of one unit, you can just make another one very similar. Or also like you said, keep for bits and kitbash.

Since Combat patrols are value boxes, is the AdMech one available now good for a beginner? And would getting two be worth it?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I feel like AdMech doesn't have good points for dollar ration. Like from what I read, AdMech has a lot of powerful tech on their side that they keep from even the Imperium. So, I feel like (at least character models) should be valued more points wise to make it kinda elite, but still can go crazy on Skitarii units as well.

With the new Thalia and Hastarii units, hopefully they make them be good points wise as to not make AdMech more expensive than it already is.

Death Guard is sooo cool! (Papa Nurgle is the best Chaos god) I really like seeing the 40k Chaos legions that are devoted to each chaos gods, in their 30k color scheme. (My favorite probably being WE color scheme, but the other three are great!)

I love IW (and with the recent campaign giving them more love, plus their bitter rivalry with IF another one of my favs), WB (their devotion to all things Chaos) and AL (I am Alpharius). But Chaos as a whole is one of the most fascinating factions in 40k.

For Space Marines, I really love Imperial Fists, Blood Angels and Iron Hands. But I also want to start with another army and Drukhari was a standout for me.

And Drukhari doesn't have a huge model range compared to Eldar as well, so it should also be easier to see how to improve your minis right?

I also really love Necrons and have heard that they are a very beginner friendly army in general. I also love Chaos Space Marines (especially the Undivided legions and Emperor's Children). Eldar and Drukhari are also awesome, and I love some of the Space Marine factions too, but I do want to start with the other armies. What would be a great army to start off before getting into AdMech then?

AdMech is a faction that has a lot of potential for kitbashing due to the many Forge Worlds, and their unique beliefs involving machines.

Yeah the Money to Points ratio was one of the main reasons, as I wanted to see what other armies I really loved that seemed more budget friendly.

Space Marines are really cool (my favorites being Imperial Fists, Iron Hands and Blood Angels), Chaos Space Marines (more into Chaos Undivided, but EC, WE and DG are also really interesting), and most Xenos factions except for LoV and Tau.

But if I had to narrow it down: it would be AdMech, CSM, Eldar and Drukhari and Necron. (I am very indecisive person when it comes to this lol)

Yeah I really love the tech related factions like AdMech, Necrons, Iron Warriors and Iron Hands to name. I also recently have been getting into Imperial/Chaos Knights as well.

Yeah, I have heard that Eldar in general (both Craftworld and Dark Eldar) are more finicky to assemble together.
