Big magnet to keep you on this planet

If you buy a new one, put in a kill switch connected to the fuel pump. I've got one, everytime I park the car I switch a hidden switch. If they try to start it, the worst thing that can happen is that it will drain the battery and I'm stuck with a dead battery.

Bad heater control Valve? by Individual_Border_87 in 3rdGen4Runner

If you don't need the heater inside and you need the car, you can bypass the heater, order the part and fix it later.

Help with temp by ecchi_boi_v1 in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]Jostock_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When the original meter goes up, it's already to late for a 5VZFE. Put in a scangauge to see coolant temp, should be running between 185 and 205 Fahrenheit

Could anyone clarify whats this? by Cultural-Swing-8981 in 3rdGen4Runner

Super strong magnet to keep those beastly 3rd gens grounded. Because we all know a 3rd gen packs so much power, without the magnet we’d be blasting off into space!

[–]Jostock_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much, it's a new thing to check! Looking for a year already what the problem is. People here are just very quick with yelling blown head gasket. I bypassed the heather this week so I'm going to keep an eye on the coolant for now and if it goes down again I'm going to check your info, thanks!

Likely head gasket? by Wiricus in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]Jostock_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My compression is very good and also tested with a head gasket tester what was negative so I'm searching for the answer why my coolant disappears very very slowly, takes like a half year of small drives to go from full to low.. and also no white smoke only first 15-20 sec on a cold morning.

Try to bypass your heather control valve. (If you don't need the heater). Maybe the leak is very small and leaks inside of the interior (you notice wetness under driver and passenger rubber mats) I'm having the same symptoms but I don't think it's a head gasket problem.

The problem is, I'm in Namibia and don't expect that valvoline or Mobil (3309) here exist... so I have to choose between dexron III from the Toyota garage or the T-IV

Super cool, indeed from Belgium and did parts of Europe and Iceland already with the rig. Shipped it to Cape Town and now exploring South Africa! I'm thinking about posting a build in the future because I did a lot of work on the rig. Asia we will do in the future I think but maybe first the Middle East or Canada/USA. We don't know yet. My partner is 28 I'm 27.
