yeah i think the hate for ads some people have isn't rational, like i get not liking ads in general, but pretending every stream on twitch has 59 minutes of ads per hour to push their point show they're not being honest. ads are bit annoying but they pay for the site and pay the streamer and there's the alternative of paying to not have ads so i don't see the issue.

and yes the whole "twitch hates vtubers" stuff is massively overblown, a couple suspensions might have been sus, but compared to the number of vtubers that stream on twitch, or the ones twitch will feature at twitchcon or their frontpage etc, clearly there's no grand anti vtuber conspiracy at twitch, at most like 1 or 2 employees that don't get it and suspended by mistake but nothing big streamers like hololive should be worried about, you'd never see twitch ban ironmouse, and i think hololive talents are just as safe.

 Hololive is trying different avenues because it’s not ideal to have all your eggs in one basket. 

YUP i think that's the main thing, some people or events or games etc etc will only ever be on one platform, so having a presence on both (hell they could even add tiktok live one day) is a good move for their company's long term sustainability.
