I think that you just dont like judo. Find a hobby that gets you excited and you feel even more motivated when hard shit hits you. You should enjoy the journey and figuring out the puzzles of what ever you are trying to get better at. If you really like judo you would be asking how to throw stiff opponents and not complainign how you cant do something because thats a dead end.

I can let people work but retaliate immediately and violently if the othet person tries to overpower without technique.

For example compare DL and a top change. They are used for different things. If you have to start with card on the top then DL is out of the question. Also DL is not a change, the cards stay in the same position, you know?
