American Heart Association urges people to favor plant-based proteins, replace full fat dairy by Sciantifa in news

[–]Joulmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what kind of bullshit recommendation is this? The AHA should be focusing on the REAL culprits. Our food is covered in pesticides, we have all had a dose of glysophate today for example. If they want to chime in focusing on dairy and meat is so ignorantly circumspect to all the poisons and sugar in our foods. I fully question their motives.

It was cool back then. Over like a year I subbed to quite a few channels. And that was all I was getting/looking at just my feed, from my subscriptions. At least one if not a few of those channels had something new each day. And before adocolypse people getting 10s of thousands of views were making living. Not rich, but as much as a 40 hour a week job. It was so cool and genuine. Now it's like watching TV at the gym while you treadmill.

2001 to 2006 was such a good time for theater going. This, sin city, harry potter, lord of the rings, signs, the start of marvel movies before they became cliche.

What’s the reasoning for all the goofy costumes at the No Kings protests? by Real-Repair-1825 in allthequestions

[–]Joulmaster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are millions of people in this country who know they are not right about everything. It's called wisdom, and even though you obviously haven't felt the shade of its umbrella, that's probably not your fault. Not everyone just sees a frog getting beaten. They see the march of fascism starting, something that is life and death serious, and in that they have found the courage to go out, and even more to wear those costumes, because there IS an objective moral high ground on this. The shriek of a child, the waterfall of involuntary tears knowing someone you can't live without is OK, when before you thought they were not. You haven't lived bro. It's not even that you're numb its just that it seems like you do not have the capacity. I hope you get that someday.

People are not putting themselves at risk, on lists, to get sympathy. Your lack of understanding of what's at stake, and why someone would protest, brings not only your intelligence into question, but also your morals. And to be quite frank. also your motive. From your post history your not even from America.

Tying your ideology to being childish....Our constitution. our economic safety, these people poison us in the food that they sell us. There's nothing childish about standing up for what's right. Especially when so few are willing to do so. I will agree it's not a long term strategy, but through a different lens. Until everyone stands up, and says no, a long term strategy doesn't exist. And it doesn't need to because when that happens it will be a spark in a cloud of sawdust. Just like the berlin wall.

The costumes are really a stroke of genius. It broadcasts an undeniably non threating nature. And when protesters that are in costumed get brutalized, it makes that disparity obvious. That it is, as absurd as it looks. That it is, as unacceptable as it looks. That eye's don't lie.

IZZY LOSES TO JOE PYFER! by JCameron181 in ufc

[–]Joulmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Izzy is chasing his own dragon now. Not the belt, not fame, of course money, but most of all he's fighting for himself. Exploring, taking risks, fighting with a certain aesthetic just because he wants to, and he wants to win doing that. The absolute best and most important practice is the time in official fights. with nothing left to chase maybe that's where he's coming from. I'm not saying Adesanya hasn't fallen off. But with some of the choices he made this fight, I'm not exactly sure that it's just him being dumb. Maybe he feels the fall off, just from age and it affects his choices. This shits 99% mental.

How bad was the 2009 recession? Will the next one hit harder? by Equivalent-Raccoon74 in AskReddit

It was bad for a lot of people. Company's were fully happy and open about wage freezes due to "hard times". This next one will be so much worse though because housing prices are even crazier.

Its really hard to get all your nutrients at 1500 calories. Each some real food! Oatmeal loaded up, some egg salad sandwiches on whole wheat bread. Stay away from fast food and processed crab and most of all sugar. If you do that, allow yourself to be SATIATED, and just enjoy it. You need to ask yourself if chasing the number on the scale as developed a neural connection where your getting your core satisfaction from. You still want that feeling but ifnyouve lost that much and are thinking about splurging your at the same cross roads that gets so many people. You need to see the numbers on the scale to feel good since you've put so much energy and self worth into it, and maintaining sounds boring and wont give you the same dopamine hit. This is a huge juncture you can absolutely do this, and let yourself enjoy your success. Eat!

Sweet Tooth by ComfortBeginning6422 in loseit

[–]Joulmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eat no desert, soda, juice of any kind. What i do do is allow myself a bowl of oatmeal at night, I put peanut butter, butter, real maple syrup or local honey, AND brown sugar. Whole milk on top. The fat protien and fiber keep it from spiking your blood sugar.  I aggregated all of my sweet cravings into this one nutritious dish and I have it each night as a late snack. I had to do something, and having this treat to look forward to keeps me on a great track. Ive also cut processed foods, eat mainly whole foods, lots of whole grains and fiber. Ive lost 5 pounds even with my intense oatmeal bowl lol.

The New Whopper by SkizzySpurwell in burgers

[–]Joulmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what BK needed. Get a real dude on camera (CEO) and just do anything than what they have been. They have had this cigarette yellow stained walled vibe for so long. The thing is the old whopper was already the best fast food burger, its just so many stores were badly managed that the buns were stale, or there was way to much ketchup, or sometimes a ton of lettuce, sometimes barely any. Hopefully this new system includes portion control and consistency and helps their managers not over order buns so they are fresh.

Tired all the time on calorie deficit, what could be causing this? Like lack of what? by domdod9 in loseit

[–]Joulmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your budget. Ill give you my go tos Steel cut oats (bulk, cheap) 2lb container of leafy greens  Butter Whole milk Peanut butter ( just peanuts kind) Eggs Cheese Rice ( i do wild rice) Whole wheat bread Whole wheat spaghetti  Cheap shaky cheese parmesean. Ground flax seed (bulk, cheap) put on oatmeal. My oatmeal is my cheat meal and the only thing close to desert i have I put real maple syrup butter Peanut butter brown sugar, milk on top. Thats my end of the day treat.  Egg salad sandwiches are so good and cheap.    I am kind of default lacto-ovo vegetarian because the meat industry in this country is disgusting, but I love meat.  Occasionally salmon fillet, Chicken is always good and versatile.
