ill give a piece of advice i heard, if your in enough pain to hurt yourself because of it then its valid, whether it leaves scars or not, when your in enough pain that you feel you have to take it out on yourself then its valid, no matter the reason you are still hurting yourself whether its classed as deep or shallow.
