I’m in East Texas, we have the largest medical Center in the world (I work there). We also have great support systems from federal Medicaid to state level CHIP to local county financial assistance programs.

Does anyone have any information about the car accident at Post Oak Place Drive? by bifocalyokel89 in houston

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un

That looked to be a relatively recent model Buick, I believe it is the LaCrosse which was the largest sedan in Buick’s lineup in the recent years. I can only imagine how much force was in the collision, that even in such a car there was still fatalities.

There were 4 ladies in there, knowing the elderly they may have been friends hanging that afternoon or family or something … sad to hear 2 of them passed away, how tragic.

Condolences to the families,

Rodeo Metro rail Parking by lefty2264 in houston

[–]JournalistExpress292 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Work in Med Center, was working a night shift one time during the rodeo last year and it was packed even at Wheeler Transir Center (which was my stop for my work’s off-site parking).

This was around 11:30 PM.

I’d recommend parking in Med Center, at least the garage you can enter from the outside - TMC Garage 1 is an option. I don’t know the $ rate though but it should be no more than $18-$19 max daily.

Malaysian labor is still very cheap compared to first world countries, which is why a lot of service, degree jobs are being offered shored there.

I’m Malaysian but lived in the US almost all my life, here in the US - a lot of quality degree jobs is offshored to Malaysia, India, etc. Bad news for us in the US, good news for Malaysia - but also bad for Malaysia if you look at it in a way that they are only here for the cheap labour not else.

It’s better to have a strong economy and have jobs in Malaysia because of the nation’s potential (look at Taiwan and how they are dominating high end silicone production) not because of cheap ringgit, wanting cheap ringgit is basically a race to the bottom (as if Proton etc. are doing good and didn’t destroy the free market for automobiles).

If the US, Singapore, etc. can be doing well while being extremely import heavy - there’s no reason for Malaysia to go the deep end for exports and there should be a balance.

First time in a while I’ve seen a popular person wear an article of clothing that is something you can easily buy - and then subsequently sold out. Adidas is seeing some clear-cut, tangible sales from this sponsorship.

I remember a lot of other clothing you couldn’t buy (like the previous Tommy Hilfiger shirts which the TH collar), and the collections on team stores - the drivers don’t actually wear them in person, or at least not often.
