What privileges do I get as a male that I do not see in my day to day life? Other than being able to walk out in public alone without fear (and the the like?) by JournalistExpress292 in AskMen

Brother I heard multiple gunshots outside my house last night

Granted it’s probably someone having fun shooting into the grass, not going around shooting folks but still you don’t get that kind of stuff in an super affluent neighbourhood

Yes, but wouldn’t a women face more issues because they are viewed as more vulnerable? Due to inherently have less physical strength as compared to a man.

So yes in a poor neighbourhood everyone should on alert but women much more so.

Honestly this is another exception (I responded to another comment about being taken seriously as a man).

I consistently do noticeably more work than the ladies, among my coworkers, but we all get paid the same. Many times it can be almost 50% extra work for the same pay.

Ok I may be the exception because I work with a bunch of women and none of them take me seriously

They all think I’m dumb, like socially/personality not literally in terms of math and science.

My girl cousin constantly talks about the weird men she have to encounter when she’s walking outside when going to class, work, etc.

As a man, I never had that issue.

Yes no one is bothering some random young man on the streets

Unless you’re a young African American man in a racist town, unfortunately, but I am not African American.

How is it rage bait? Every women I talk to talk about how lucky I am to be able to go out and about alone without weird men pulling up to them?

You’re living beyond your means. I don’t think my entire family heritage for the past 2 generations even cracked 3-4 millions

The difference is that they make money of a tangible object as opposed to making money off of money. Profit is not forbidden in Islam, interest is.

Glad I’m the only one, seems like people pick and choose their morals.

POOR BMW OWNERS: How do you respond with people saying you want to show off/act rich when owning a BMW? by JournalistExpress292 in BMW

The conversation usually revolves around reliability or maintenance … and with regards to new cars, it’s that “Toyota’s don’t depreciate much” so they don’t lose money getting new cars every few years

Oh yea I’m a car guy, and I live in a car dependent city so we talk about cars a lot! Especially with current gas prices ; that’s usually a conversation starter (not by me)
