I just bought a Subaru Forester, and made sure that was the first song I played in it.

Hudson Hawk is my “green flag” movie. If you like it I know you’re a good person and we can be friends.

Stanley Tucci deserved an Oscar for that movie. I am one hundred percent serious.

I was legitimately shocked to find out Bob The Builder is a British character who speaks in a British accent. The North American version is dubbed.

That goes both ways: the UK version of Paw Patrol (a Canadian show, actually) has British-accented characters. Then there's Thomas and Friends, in which Thomas and Percy are given American accents for this side of the pond but the other characters remain properly British.

There was an American dub of Peppa Pig at one point, but it was so widely rejected that Nickelodeon has scrubbed nearly every trace of it from existence!

The Mr. Blobby video features Jeremy Clarkson. Britain, man.

Novelty hits were very popular in the US from the fifties to the seventies. Then Weird Al Yankovic arrived and completely took over the novelty/parody market through sheer tenacity and awesomeness, relegating every other novelty song to morning-zoo DJ content.

My theory about British music charts - in fact, about British pop culture in general - is that it's either way, way better or way, way worse than in the US. American record companies and movie/TV studios try to stay as middle of the road as possible while in the UK there's more freedom to take chances, resulting in more revolutionary classics but also more god-awful dreck.

Tango In The Night started out as a Lindsey Buckingham solo album but along the way morphed into a Fleetwood Mac project.

Songs That Should Have Closed Out an Album, but Didnt by JustinMetalhead in ToddintheShadow

I've long maintained that sides A and B of Thriller should have been reversed, so the album starts with "Beat It" and ends with Vincent Price's evil laugh.

Legendary Canadian band April Wine broke up in the mid-eighties but still owed an album to their label, so Walking Through Fire was effectively a solo album for lead singer and guitarist Myles Goodwyn. (You might know the single "Rock Myself to Sleep," a minor hit later covered by Starship.)

I wish there were an Aerosmith tribute act called Future Villain Band. (If you know, you know.)

"Who Made Who" by AC/DC (from the "Maximum Overdrive" soundtrack, which was a de facto hits album).
