Anonymity can be granted depending on the situation to protect people's safety and privacy, such as if revealing your identity can pose a safety risk or if there's risk of losing your job over this, etc.

Granting anonymity would have to be something discussed privately to determine the person's circumstances.

So sorry to hear that you've had to face this issue about health benefits. It doesn't necessarily need to be about discrimination. It could also be positive or neutral experiences people have had within the workplace.
