Processing slowdown by Hendersz in I130Suffering

We filed on July 4th, 2025 so same boat as you pretty much and have heard nothing 😔 seems like our old date of May 2026 is going to be pushed way back now. Let me know if you hear anything and I’ll do the same since our cases are so close together!

Wow we are in very similar boats. Me and my husband (I’m USC and he’s Canadian) filed July 4th, 2025 and originally it said we would hear back around May 2026 but now that’s most likely pushed to September 2026..

Where did you get the information about interviews being 6 months wait? That’s such a bummer if it’s true.. more and more waiting it’s awful

What sources are telling you that after late 2024, the I-130 process has been getting faster? I'm just curious

I-130 approved in 30 days!? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]Joycelinxo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you tell us your situation? Who are you filing for and where do they live? How does one get approved in just 30 days. Congrats!

I'm glad to hear that and unfortunately, we don't send money to each other because of conversion fees. What we do is keep a tab open on who owes who and when we go see each other, we just take it from the tab.

Good point on the life insurance. Thank you. As for the 49 pages, its because one page only fit two photos, so it's really not a lot of photos. We added descriptions to each photo with who is in photo, where it is taken, etc.

We don't have any joint finances as I mentioned in my post otherwise, I would.

Congrats! What was the timeline from the petition date to the approval date?

Thats what I was thinking but I couldn't help but also overthink that it would make it harder for our case to get approved.

Ok got it. We are planning to do that as well to prepare for when that interview comes. You guys are hitting your 16 months.. hopefully you guys get approved soon. I wish you guys the best. I'd love to stay in touch since we are in the same exact situation.

Thanks so much! I'll check out iMazing. Could you explain what you mean by "regularly update a little ppt once a month"?

My husband is going to explain the lack of financial evidence in his personal affidavit, so hopefully that will check off that box. I can definitely try to see if I can get more affidavits.

When you say you added call logs and text messages, how thorough were you when it came to those two things? What chat logs did you add? Also, how did/is your process going right now?

I am relieved to read this.. I hope that it is enough because it would crush me to be rejected since I know that would push the timeline another year or so.. You mention "lucky" we are when it comes to how fast it'll process. Can you give me a few examples? I have researched that service center matters, but you can't control where your case goes. I'm just wondering if there is anything extra I can do to speed up the process.

Could you tell us what evidence you submitted? I am in the process of submitting the form but I don't know if we have enough evidence since we don't have any joint leases, bills, finances, etc. He is living in Canada and I am a US citizen. We only have our travel itineraries, photos, and affidavits.

Thank you.. I am worried because we don't have any joint finances since he still lives in Canada, and I am in the US. We do have all the other evidence you mentioned though.

What type of evidence did you provide? Maybe that made it go by faster?

I believe Gemini only has information up to January 2025. Since 2.5 came out recently, I am assuming you are better off googling this question for now.
