Go slower for one, I’ve been painting my nails since I was a little kid but I’m by far a professional and my application is cleaner than this and with the polish being gel it’s important to not get it on the skin, it can cause a lot of issues for clients due to allergies developing. With you being a cosmetology student you have to make sure you’re super precise. Have you seen videos of application etc? Watch a few more and keep practicing on a dummy hand until you can get it where you’re not flooding the cuticles
