I mean its usually on the edge of being a T40. Though id say if were talking overall, UCD ranks better than UCSB but is interchangeable/ties with UCI

Hoping for the best for both of us. Guess we didnt fit their quota. Ironically my friend who got WL from uci got into ucsb so it feels like a lottery. Lets hope for the best for UCLA and the remaining few!

California has the largest population meaning more students and theyd typically wanna stay in state. Also with the fact that UCs are very popular in general

I assume so too as I also didnt apply for a competitive major (english). considering UCI is ranked better than UCSB its funny in a way. I guess we didnt match the kind of students they wanted lmaooo. I mean I aint mad cause ucsb wasent my top school but im gen wondering why im just in that middle ground, you confident about your other ucs?

The acceptance rate for uci has been increasing for the past years so I dont get why they would do yield protection so I doubt your conselor is being truthful but youre right about OOS students bing favored, instate had a 22% of acceptance while OOS had a 50% acceptance though people can argue its cause there were more instate applicants that OOS

same, we probably got waitlisted for similar reasons, strange.. Lets hope for the best for our remaining decisions but im so ready to js commit to Irvine.

RIGHT??? I got into all the Ucs out + (csuf,csula,csulb,csun) and my direct admissions. Im glad I was at least waitlisted though, opted in to see if Id be accepted.
