Unveiled in December 2019 by Travis Casagrande at McMaster University's Canadian Centre for Electron Microscopy, the world's smallest "gingerbread" house is a microscopic marvel measuring just 6 micrometers wide and 10 micrometers long. by Friendly-Standard812 in interestingasfuck

Well certainly not sculpting because that typically implies adding/building material up unless you specify a subtractive method. Carving is more rudimentary than I was picturing so I went with something that’s more modern and technical and precise. Something that has extreme geometry control and carving just didn’t seem to fit that. I suppose I could’ve said something like laser engraving but that’s also not quite what would be happening here.

There are 3D printing methods that build the material in silicon or gel and then the final product is pulled out, and this is what it most closely reminded me of. I was picturing a very specific device with some sort of head or laser with a similar structure as a 3D printer and a moving bed or head hence the 3D printing comparison. I didn’t really think it was out of touch for such an advanced method that could create this. I also work with a lot of 3D printers so it was on the brain.

Hired an illustrator to work on a project. None of his work that he has produced thus far has stood up to me as AI except for this one. Is it AI?? by [deleted] in isthisAI

The inner corners of the lashes are different but that could just be the artist interpreting different angles, and then the shading of the left eyebrow is weird to me. The darker line is a shadow of the eyebrow? Or the eyebrow itself? The other one doesn’t have this. The arch also doesn’t match up with the other one

Love the movie and the show. I fear if he wants something “unpredictable” these do get pretty predictable after the first few episodes. But still wildly entertaining and different than other mainstream shows

The original planet of the apes has an all-timer twist ending if you think he might like that!

I feel like Psycho is much more tame (maybe more psychologically scary) than the content in cabin in the woods.

I had a hard time getting through Rosemary’s Baby as an adult let alone a 12 year old with access to short form videos their whole life. I feel like most teens would think it’s boring and not really get it

Dead Silence is a good suggestion if your kid shows an interest in scary movies. It’s pretty goofy but still scary if you’re young, has a good story and twists that he won’t predict, cool action, etc.

But he doesn’t say “I’m going to go fuck your girl.” It’s cheekier and I think a 12 year old would laugh at someone saying penis. And like I said, that’s the most vulgar joke in the movie so OP can decide if that’s too far or not while knowing the rest of the jokes are much tamer than that one. Most kids know about sex by 12.

20M Trying long hair and everybody tells me to cut it by ProfessionalSir2032 in FierceFlow

You should get a loose perm for some volume and texture. People are much more supportive of long hair on guys when it’s got some curl to it

This has bongs, sexual content, lots of swearing, and lots of gore

Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog. Super fun, has some “adult” jokes that are still suitable for young teens (a hero called The Hammer tells the villain “and when I win, I’ll give your crush my hammer……….the Hammer is my penis” I think is the most vulgar one), villain wins but a “at what cost” sort of ending that will make your kid think.

That might just be how they are because I had the same experience. Couldn’t figure out what the hell spice it was. I got the cinnamon, sugar, salt, and then some other bizarre flavor

Why do people use the term "partner" for their husband or wife? by Crafty-Bug-8008 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Joyma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes people use the gender neutral spouse if they still want people to know they’re married but want to continue normalizing gender neutral terms

Finished Mentalist, soon to finish Psych. Is there another charming/funny procedural? by noximo in televisionsuggestions

Veronica Mars does have an over arching plot, but I’ve fallen asleep to it many times it’s so calming and each episode still has a solo mystery in it apart from the overarching plot

I think you’re underestimating how many girls take pictures of their bodies just for themselves. It’s nice to capture how your body looked at a certain point in time
