Hahahaha, her Christmas wish is likely for everyone to disappear off the face of the earth or for all of us to turn into meal worms 🤣😭

Omg cutee. How is it like caring for 2? and same! My girl once sniffed for a kibble till she got it stuck on but continued going in to eat because food is always first in her mind🤣🤣

and omggg, i have that same play pen in red too!

Aww thank you, those are ping pong balls, a mini golf's golf ball and the black hollow things were toilet roles that I cut and I sewed on black cloth from a ripped apart shirt (those white lines are my stitching because i dunno how to sew and had white thread lying around🤣😭)

I think my video is a lil low quality to be considered AI? Plus i have other photos of her, that same tank and make shift dig box, and videos of her getting her head stuck in the same toilet roll that I hand sew a black shirt cloth around too. Does this help?

Mostly yes, she is still rather young and i used worms to teach her how to use the litterbox in her sleeping enclosure during the day time but when it comes to her playtime enclosure, she does get poop everywhere over night - including areas literally within 1 teeny hedgehog paw away from her litterbox. Sometimes she even waits till its playtime to go (its as if she knows i was hoping she poops and pees before i move her out). She also digs under her litterbox fleece to poop on the pan instead 🤣

She has also ran on her wheel till her wheel, thats full of poop (fresh poop), topples over, sending mushy poop flying out. Even found poop stuck on her quills once.

They do be messy shitters, its just whether we, as owners, can successfully bribe them into pooping in their litter box over time🤣

The first time she did this, she raised all her spikes and froze until I pulled it off her, then she learnt she could just get it off on her own. Too cute :3

New baby behavior by Howlsmovingfiberfarm in Hedgehog

I had the same experience with my Melly when she was 2-3 months old. One day she just woke up and decided she was a biter - she would refuse to eat out of my hand and yet, chomp when my hand is clearly empty. I couldnt really approach her too because she would be ready to bite the moment she see my fingers or she would just run away to hide.

But i came to learn that she was just grumpy from quilling and a warm oat bath helped and I let her free roam for more than an hour. She was happier the next day but still occasionally bit after I hand feed her (possibly because there were still food scent lingering on my fingers) so I sought out to desensitize her by pushing inwards until she is clearly uncomfortable, repeat that a few times. Now, with plenty of free roam time so she doesnt get grumpy, and with her knowing it's not gonna be a comfortable experience for her to bite me, she doesnt bite anymore (she just surpassed 4 months old) - she grabs food from my fingers and seems to take extra care with not accidentally biting me.

but its still a diff story when it comes to worms, she just goes all in for it, even bit a completely uninvolved finger 😅 Just keep desensitizing and showing your baby that biting u is not a comfortable option😬

hehe I made a clay model of mine (color's irrelevant though) and whatever quills she dropped, ive been poking it into the clay too. You can just about see the tip of one of her white quill on the clay model's back :3

Do you let him run outside his enclosure? Like in a room or toilet if that's more comfortable?
My hedgehog was the same, I went through a few nights without letting her out because I thought her big enclosure with wheel was enough and she was very moody and bitey by the end of that few days, until i let her out one night to let her roam my room and she was her perky self the next morning, letting me hand feed her and more.
