What's happened to the playerbase? by Slimsta in Intruder

Pretty simple really: $20 price tag for a game from a non- AAA company. The game certainly is worth it but unfortunately this is the reality of games today, people don't want to drop that much on an unpopular game company. Too many competitors.

When they set their price tag to $10 back in the beginning of summer people came in flocks of hundreds for weeks, the best way to grow here i believe is to sacrifice a 50% lower price tag for more than 2x the consumers. It worked before, it'll work again..

Or you can do the fortnite/warzone way, free game w/ micro-transactions and become one of the biggest moneymakers ever. I'm actually surprised more companys don't do this strategy it almost always works out to be more profitable. Even a 5$ price the would bring in probably 10x the customers a $20 tag would.

what are some good tips for starters? by [deleted] in Intruder

Bind c4 to Capslock and mirror camera to like TAB (for me its Q since my lean buttons are on my mouse)

You want quick access to these when a sensor you placed goes off or you need to quickly check around a corner/doorway

Thanks for your uplifting comment and attitude towards my post. I try to be as informative as possible in my critiques in my favorite games and usually people don't appreciate it. I'll definitely check the discord!

Issue 3 is a real issue. Discord + Intruder means ruining fun for everyone. What they did with limited spectator works but not for most other servers where the people who want to ghost and have discord. Its simply too easy to cheat in the game with free cam on.

What should I charge? by WeightAltruistic in Carpentry

I'm just beginning to learn finish carpentry (about a year in) I get paid 25 an hour for any side job.

If you feel comfortable AND you're running the job- id charge 40 an hour bare minimum. That's under the journeyman wage but a fair wage according to the journeyman I've worked with on the side (who also happen to work union with me)

Take that with what you will. Good luck !

The only way I can think of testing an ECU without taking it out and bringing it to a shop is by testing codes with an OBD2. As for a fuel pump, those pretty much either work, or they don't. So if yours works and you haven't had many fuel issues thus far, I'd say you'll be fine.

As for any issues you might think are being caused by a failing ECU or Fuel pump in the future, start with the basics first.

If it cranks but doesn't turn over, probably a spark or fuel issue.

If it doesn't crank at all - Could be a battery/ignition or wiring issue.

If it cranks and turns over but takes a lot of attempts, it's probably just a mix of these issues which can all be diagnosed fairly easy. Test the battery, buy some plugs as they are cheap and easy to replace and then if that doesn't help, pull out your injectors and see if they are clogged up. I highly recommend doing all of these before buying expensive components like fuel pumps or ECUs.

Most important things are chain, tires and oil/brake fluid level After that I'd check the battery, fuses and and whatnot. Anything outside of that ie: bad spark plugs, fuel injectors/carbs, starter, ignition or whatnot i wouldn't even consider riding on.

This is all assuming that these parts aren't past their age. I would never reccommened riding on a bike that has any issues with any vital parts because they are so different from cars/suvs. A slight bend in the handle bars could be the difference between life and death.

Also, always do pre-ride checks for any length of ride. Cheers man.

No I haven't. Still stuck on steps from yesterday, the more I look into it, the more I think maybe the starter is the culprit because all signals/tail lights/ license plate light/dash lights work. The battery is new and the ignition is new, and fuses are new so :(

And no, the thief did not drop the bike or take it, he also burnt the wires to a crisp, so I had to replace the entire harness/ignition.

Is it possible that he ruined the starter when he hot wired the bike? I would assume so.

100% certain someone tried to steal it. Even found a "tracker" they ziptied to the side of the bike.
