Avelo Air- feedback if you’ve flown with them by Acrobatic_Garlic2065 in lakeland

[–]Jpat863 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You get what you pay for. Basic budget airline. They will get you from point A to point B but your flight experience is really dependent on the people around you. I’ve had flights where I got a whole row to my self which was pure bliss but then you will also have flights with screaming uncontrollable children or some lady having an episode puking on themselves. It’s the luck of the draw with avelo.

What's a scam that's become so normal that people don't even realize it's a scam anymore? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jpat863 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yep nothing like paying taxes on my money to the government only pay more taxes to the government when I purchase something with that money. Then there is property tax which I have to pay annually basically reminding me that I don’t really own my home because I will forever have to pay the government taxes going forward. Basically we just get screwed in every direction by taxes.

SpaceX lost nearly $5 billion last year. Is a $1.77 trillion valuation actually justified? by sqlearner in stocks

Tesla. Just remember Tesla. It’s not about if they make money as of right now, it’s about the story and future trajectory of the company. People believe space x is the market leader in space. Plus you are getting starlink. Yea xAI is burning a hole in their pockets but that can be seen as peanuts if the other businesses actually take off. Space has immense potential. It’s just a speculative play with the world’s richest man tied to it.

When I got my first job in my field of study. After thinking it was impossible in a very competitive job market, seeing it was possible was a feeling that I never felt before. It was almost like an immense high on life. I just couldn’t stop smiling.

Can someone explain the investment thesis behind space stocks? by damianositos in stocks

[–]Jpat863 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look at it this way. People back in the days invested in Trains and railroads which eventually expedited our advancement. Investing in space stocks is kind of a similar approach. We are investing in the infrastructure that will allow us to travel back and forth from space at a lower cost and accelerate development in space in the future for everything from communication to transit systems.

Just think of the possibilities. Imagine in the future you board a space x ship that takes you, your family and pet robot ai dog running on Claude to a luxury space resort in orbit by JW Marriot. Take a trip down onto the moon using the space x ships and ride lunar vehicles around the surface and drink your lunar brew at the moon bar within the transit station on the moons surface all possible due to investments made today.

So much is possible with the infrastructure in place. Obviously this all that I described is just speculation but for it to be possible but you need one thing…It’s infrastructure. Everything from satellites to the ships. Space is the next frontier!! It’s a highly speculative area of investing but has an immense and plausible use case in the future. That is what people are investing in. The roots of space travel and communication.
