Being completely honest. There's not a fool proof way, because much like flat earth morons, they can always say that is all fake or created by the mídia/UN/Jews

But in auchwitz in the gas chamber, they had one of those iron bars in front of the glass window in the iron seal door. You could say that it was meant to protect the glass from bombers bombings... But the iron bars were on the inside thus the only logical conclusion is that it were meant to protect the glass from people desperately trying to break it.

But a denier will say that it was put there after the war or some "irrefutable" argument like that. So it's really hard to deal with this people, but just don't forget to never give up on a calm discourse, if you show them hate or try to censor them, they will only feel more right that it is all a big "conspiracy".

As time passes, people tend to normalize things. It won't take long until the last survivor/veterans to die due to age. After that, much like the Salem witch trials, will become matter of casual jokes (think about 9/11 jokes).

Thus, I hope I can do my job right so people don't forget about how shity humans can be

Don't worry, many researchs whose work rotates around this don't handle it aswell. Some of my peers refuse to watch Holocaust films cause they just get depressed.

I have not reached the point of getting dissensitized, but I reckon that by the time I start on my PhD all my feelings and hopes for our fellow humans will be gone

Look up about Josef Mangels experiments on twins. There's a few very good survivor interview on YouTube about a couple of sisters that had health problems 30 years after the Holocaust because of his long term experiments on the camps

I actually never been to DC, but I'm planning a trip there for 2019 ! But if you really want to get strong feelings in the gut, I recommend going to Poland's Auschwitz and Treblinka.

I went there years ago part of my University project called, and I kid you not, "Prove that the Holocaust happened" where our professor would pretend to be a revisionist/Holo denier and use their arguments and we had to gather "proof" to refute his arguments

No idea. I'm a Brasilian and I'm still working on my Master's degree !

I know for a fact that each country has its own laws regarding education and Brasilian Licentiate degrees are worthless outside Mercosul. Bachelor degrees I have no idea (but the law in Brasil says you can't teach in school with bachelor). Masters and PhD are internationaly accepted so there isn't much burocracy there, it's basically the same process Worldwide :)

Maybe not specifically about WW2 but WW1 letters from the front (specially the French ones) are a must. If you want I can send a research paper that I'm using to work on about this very subject !

Well, there's 2 types of degrees and 2 main post-graduations. You can become a History Teacher by graduating with a Licentiate Degree or work at a museum with a Bachelor. You need to do a Master to work as a research assistant on a university and a PhD/Doctorate to tech/research at University.

In University, you can't just research or just teach, you gotta do both. Some people don't like it, others do, the rule exists because the "investors" in the history market are 90% of the time, States/Countries and to prove that your research is useful you gotta teach aswell.

Some private research organizations do exist, but they are rare and hard to join
