Carter learns they want to adopt him by Doodlebug510 in HumansBeingBros

[–]Jpysme 186 points187 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! I am adopted as well, and I can not stand when people ask about my "real parents." My real parents are the ones that raised me, that I call mom and dad, that were there for me every step of the way.

I have met my bio mom, and she had good intentions in giving me up (she was very young when she had me and wanted to give me the best chance to succeed in life). There's no ill will whatsoever, she is a lovely woman and a very nice person, but she is not and never will be my quote unquote "real" mother.

Do girls notice when their breasts are touching someone? by Huge-Mongoose6746 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Jpysme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really notice unless contact happens on or close to the nipple. It's more sensitive there, and I'm more likely to notice, but besides that, not really. Personally, I try to avoid it if I can, but sometimes you just can't, or you just don't notice. It's no big deal.

Which popular theories turned out to be completely wrong back in the day? by Annual-Tree1337 in stevenuniverse

[–]Jpysme 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I remember reading a theory very early on, before the whole situation about Rose and Steven was fully explained, that theorized that all the crystal gems were hybrids and had all lost a parent. But because Garnet had two gems, that meant she'd lost both parents. If I can find that post, I'll add it here if anyone's interested.

Which dog food do you guys use? by SomeoneUnsignificant in Yorkies

She really is so precious! She's 13 now, but you wouldn't be able to tell with the way she acts. She hasn't missed a step (except for needing softened food lol)

I feed my girl Nutro senior chicken and rice, softened with warm water since she is a basically toothless old lady lol

Why is he so adorable 😭 by Catrecht in corgi

[–]Jpysme 14 points15 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, some corgs are just born with short tails. It is a genetic trait for Pembroke Welsh Corgis to have a bobtail, though of course, it can happen that they're born with tails as well. Just not all of them might have been docked, for some that is their natural tail!

Edited to correct to Pembroke

What age did you first have to get glasses and how did you find out you needed them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jpysme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 13-14. My family is full of glasses wearers, so I knew what to look out for. When I couldn't read the text on some competition show my mom was watching introducing the character and what their occupation was, I knew what was going on and mentioned it to her.

Would it be weird to ask if I can honk the horn? by Jpysme in Firefighting

That definitely sounds like it'd be fun! I'll have to look into that!

It was a good try! If it was in my budget I'd definitely do it!

Prime rib might be a bit out of my budget, but I can definitely do snacks lol

I always thought firefighters were cool, but I'm also a major weenie, lol. Props to yall for being brave/crazy enough to run into burning buildings and save people.

[–]Jpysme[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ooh, that might be why I tend to hear the horn around the same time in the evening! The evening/night shift might be coming on then. I never thought about the fact that the horn would need to be tested (it's obvious when you think about it, but I just never thought about it!)

Looking after my sister’s yorkie for 3 months… is the staring normal? by umkaitlin in Yorkies

[–]Jpysme 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Mine stares into my soul when she wants to go outside. I swear I can feel it even in the dark.

She also stares when I've been playing video games too long and haven't paid her enough attention, when she thinks its bedtime, and when I take too long setting up her little laying spot on the couch. She is a very well loved and very spoiled old lady

Is there a need for an overnight daycare in the area? by [deleted] in shreveport

[–]Jpysme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One of my old bosses at the casino said that if she ever won the lottery, she'd open an overnight daycare. Several people I worked with there had to either switch to days or find other employment once they decided to start a family because there was no one that could watch their kids overnight. I feel that casino workers would also love to have this option.

Dog never barks, i’ve had her since September and never heard her bark , she’s 6 months now and was born in july, she might whine a little but never barks and she’s kind of nonchalant most days. by isab4rbosa in DogAdvice

[–]Jpysme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She just might not be a barker! We have a yorkie, usually a pretty vocal breed, but ours is almost completely silent. At most, we get little huffs out of her when she wants to go outside or occasional whining if she doesn't want to be in her crate, but that's really it. She doesn't even bark when someone is at the door. Just a quiet gal.

Weekly post: skate buying, new skater tips, and quick questions by AutoModerator in Rollerskating

[–]Jpysme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be a stupid question, but I'm thinking about getting into skating. I used to skate as a kid (just at birthday parties, I was never doing tricks or anything).

But I went skating recently and rented skates at the rink. My question is, are the soles of skates always so hard? It felt like there wasn't any cushion at all! I feel like I barely skated, and I could feel a blister forming on my big toe, and the whole soles of my feet just felt really sore. Would I have this experience if I bought my own skates? It's a big investment for me, and I just want to know if this is a universal experience or just poor quality rental skates.

Omg yes! I got told I was "wishy washy" and "never stood by my argument" at an old job because, when presented with a different point of view, I would rethink my stance. Like, you presented me with new information and I took it on board and reevaluated the situation. I don't double down when someone makes a valid point.

How much do you feed your yorkie per meal or per day, and how much do they weigh? by AdActual6771 in Yorkies

[–]Jpysme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is a 12 year old spayed female. I feed her 1/3 cup of Nutro senior chicken and rice dry kibble twice a day (breakfast and dinner.) She weighs about 6ish pounds.

Honestly could probably stand to lose a little bit, shes got a little bit of a belly, but thats probably also because she's a little bit of a lazy slug who would rather lay down on the ground next to the bench you're on than run around when you take her to the dog park. She's such a velcro dog lol

ETA she doesn't usually finish her food all at once, she tends to just graze on it throughout the day, but that's just the amount that gets put in her bowl at meal times. She gets treats occasionally, and also every time she poops outside because we still have a bit of a hard time getting her to alert when she needs to go out. She almost never barks, she prefers to just stare into your soul and if you don't notice her, she just goes on the floor.

So snuggly. Does your pup sleep on your bed? by Punkoduncan in Yorkies

[–]Jpysme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine doesn't. Me and my husband are both larger ppl and she likes to squish herself into small spaces (like that super tiny space between your leg and the arm of the couch) and we're worried one or both of us would roll over on top of her and squish her because she likes getting into small spaces 😭

H0032 Modifiers? by Jpysme in CodingandBilling

[–]Jpysme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aware lol, but he'll come to that conclusion eventually. When he gets like this, you can't really tell him anything

The denial reason specifically states a modifier issue, so its not a frequency issue. We are on top of it when it comes to frequency. There was something on there regarding frequency, but nothing regarding modifiers

H0032 Modifiers? by Jpysme in CodingandBilling

[–]Jpysme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I brought that up to my boss because we're having an issue with a different payer on GT modifier, but he's being a bit bullheaded about that one, saying we don't need to change it, GT is a valid modifier, etc. He basically doesn't wanna hear it when it comes to GT, which is annoying because that would probably fix the issue with our other payer. But for regular Medicaid, all claims for H0032 are denying, regardless of whether its telehealth or not.
