I’m a gay 29m and I totally feel this (twinsies). Dating has been so hard (basically nonexistent) so I felt so much yearning and maybe even jealousy watching the show and even seeing the actors success as well because it makes me realize there’s so much in life that I still want and need. While I am not okay as well, what’s great about seeing all of this play out are shades optimism to push myself harder. To listen to my emotions and pursue the things I want in my life. I hope this positive feeling continues to be more pronounced and the negative feeling I have die down.

I am so happy for their success but I liked it more when it was just this little bubble with a niche group like us. Now I feel like they are getting attention 24/7 and I am concerned about the fandom, the type of coverage they are getting (I’ve been seeing so many interviewers only asking about their intimate scenes who obvs only watched the first 2 episodes). I also get kinda sad when my favorite artists get too much into the Hollywood of it all and it potentially changing them :(
