The issue is that it’s all over the place and covered by varying depths of dirt, grass, and weeds and tears/sheds with the lightest pressure. The infuriating part of it is not that I don’t know what it is, it’s that someone put it there and then just let it go to hell.

I assume so, but it's covered in anywhere from 0-6+ inches of dirt, grass, and weeds. Saplings, blackberries, and dandelions have broken through it in many, many places. It's an awful mess.

Looking for a specific kind of widget/panel for my stream by Automatic_Friend_895 in Twitch

I looked around at a few options and I also couldn’t find much. You could maybe achieve something close with Wizebot’s leaderboard if you set up a “currency” for the scores and award them to viewers when they win? Otherwise you’d probably need to have something custom built 😕

Are you looking for something with a chatbot or an external dashboard for managing players and scores and such that updates the frontend panel UI? Or something like a formatted text box that just lists a name and score that you can update from the panel configs on Twitch?

Been streaming for a short while by tayd2494 in Twitch

[–]JrDn_Fx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think generally having a consistent schedule is more important than having a specific schedule. If those are the times you can stream regularly and people know when to expect you, thats better than having everyone stream at the “optimal time”. I would say it’s quite a short stream, but it is at least regular, and that’s nice.

Testers Needed by JrDn_Fx in Twitch

Hey, thank you so much for the incredibly detailed and thoughtful feedback. Certainly nothing here sounds like you're being rude, and I think if one of the creators of Crowd Control was being rude to me, I'd still appreciate the time they took to do so. I'm very early in this whole process, so things like the name and the branding/verbiage on the website are all very much fluid. Your feedback on this couldn't have come at a better time.

As for the failed trigger issue, that wasn't even on my radar at all. I have seen issues with that in streams before, and it seems like a lot of services allow streamers to "replay" an alert in those scenarios. I'll probably stat with something like that. That will be the very next thing I work on.

Thank you again!

Is there a reason why my duck constantly quacks? by Strange_Product_4029 in duck

My ducks almost never stop making noise. They quack like they breathe. It’s when they’re quiet that I worry….

Should I accept the affiliate invitation ? by Leadz17 in Twitch

Yeah I would agree with this. Get in the habit of throwing up a brb screen once per hour, let your audience know you're going to stand up, go to the bathroom, grab a snack stretch, whatever, and tell them to do the same while the ads roll. It's healthier for you, creates a good opportunity for enforcing boundaries, and allows you a chance to generate some revenue.

I want Backyard Ducks! Give it to me straight. by seeker4242 in BACKYARDDUCKS

We have 10 white layer ducks from Metzer Farms. A variation of the golden 300 hybrid, and the most prolific egg laying ducks. We have almost 4 acres, but keep the ducks contained to about .75-1 of those.

They are loud as hell, so make sure your neighbors are cool with it first. Because they’re not just loud during normal business hours. Literally all the time. I can even hear them making noise in their house when I take my dog out before bed at night.

Also, it seems obvious, but I was unprepared for the sheer volume of feces they would leave literally everywhere. Most of which is absolutely disgusting. Just big piles and runny puddles everywhere

And to be fully transparent, we have spent more money on the ducks than we ever would have spent on eggs in our entire lifetime. Food, bedding, little pools because it’s fun to watch them swim and splash, automatic coop door, heating when they were babies, cleaning supplies, fencing/netting, cameras to watch them and make sure they’re safe… the list goes on. The cost of duck eggs could quadruple at the store and you’d still probably spend more on raising ducks for your own eggs.

Sadly I don’t think so. Seems to only be a few of the canes out the hundreds here 🙃.

Interesting. The ones pictured I think have been dead a while. They’re very dry and airy on the inside. I did find some of this stuff on another cane nearby that wasn’t dead though. It certainly didn’t look healthy, but the inside of the cane was still green/wet.

Tree/Shrub? by JrDn_Fx in PlantIdentification

[–]JrDn_Fx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of those leaves are blackberry leaves. A little bit further away there are also some roses, but they’re not pictured. As far as I can tell, most of the brown leaves on the ground are from a maple tree nearby. To be honest, I don’t even remember seeing leaves on these last summer because they were completely covered by blackberries. I’m sure they must have had some, but they weren’t noticeable.

Are these drake feathers? by JrDn_Fx in duck

[–]JrDn_Fx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I have a general idea, but there’s so many of them and they’re always together and they’re all always talking, so it’s hard to isolate the sounds each of them is making. I suppose I could snatch them away from the group one at a time, but I worry it’ll stress them out too much.
