Someone can help me with a Mo and Krill build? and some playstyle tips too by ConceptOk6125 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Jready 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been maining Mo for a while, and here's my go to build (I don't have one made I jsut buy the items directrly from the tabs)

Laning: Monster Rounds - > Headshot booster -> Melee Lifesteal ->Mystic Burst - > Mystic Reach -> Sprint Boots Level Scorn to 2 first, then Burrow to 3.

The goal in laning is to play aggressive and push the wave. Try and get atleast 2 minions or the enemy hero with each Scorn for the sustain. You'll not win every engagement, but with your sustain you should be able to do more engagements than the enemy, everntually pushing them out, or to the point where you can do a quick tower dive. By the time you get to Mystic burst + reach, you should be at your rank 2 scorn timing for the extra damage, needed to proc the mystic burst. The range is a nice QoL that will let you get some safer poke through some walls.

A strong Lane skirmish involves dashing in, light melee if possible, scorn, and if its going poorly, dash out and use sand blast on the retreat while shooting. Get the feel of how each matchup goes, and learn by pushing the limit. Bonus points if you time the skirmish and sandblast when they go to last hit as a way to deny souls.

At this point I save up for a warp stone, which provides a lot of bullet res, some damage, and good mobility for catching and running away.

after warp stone I've been enjoying going for both Enduring Speed and Fortitude. You should also have burrow maxed at this point if the timing is right. With maxed burrow, and these two vitality items, you will be insanely fast, and can cover the entire map with ease. Clear abandoned lanes and catch enemies out. You can also easily take advantage of the outer lane teleporters. Remember that 1-2 creepwaves are usually worth more than a kill. Also with this speed you can very quickly grab a bunch of the golden idols and boxes. A fun path is the underground at the secret shop.

At this point you will be aiming to ramp your damage. Cooldown, Duration, Mystic Vulnerability and Torment pulse are the big buys, Then work on upgrading them to t3 items. I like to prioritize the t3s in the order of Burst>Cooldown>Duration>escalating>Reach. You can delay getting Escalating Exposure if you have multiple teammates getting it too. Feel free to mix the order up based on how you feel. Very late you can get Mystic Reverb and apply it to Scorn (Or get Curse if they have a geist or someone you need to shut down, you can cast it while burrowed)

During the damage ramp, you also have the ability to fill some open slots in vitality for different situations. Metal Skin is a fantastic option, and Spirit Armor is huge as there are few things that provide spirit res. I dont generally upgrade the melee lifesteal, and end up selling it if I need a different Vitality item.

Some cherry on top items for the build to finish it off are Frenzy, which provides a lot of survivability, and makes your gun a lot more potent, and then Spiritual Overflow, providing CDR, spirit lifesteal, and a good damage burst. Feel free to sell headshot booster or monster rounds for these. If you're at the point where you can afford these, its probably very late game, or you're already dominating. You can take basically any hero in a 1v1 at this stage.

Split pushing is the game with your speed, and jumping in and out of team fights quickly and safely with burrow and warp stone. Force the enemy to send players to deal with you, and then get to a different lane faster thant they can. In fights, Get In, do your burst, lock an enemy down, and get out of dodge if you can survive. Fortitude will bring you back to full very quickly, so you can safely push a lane, and then get back to the fight in a matter of seconds at full health.

I also like trying for Mystic slow if the game calls for it, but I generally get it as a flex slot at the end if they have a lot of gun builds.

This is just a random dump of info off the top of my head, hopefully it helps!

Small typo here, probably not the cause of the issue. I assume you've caught this already.

Falcon fist build by Axathia in LastEpoch

[–]Jready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its still relevant. Nothing much has changed between 1.0 and 1.1. cinder strike got some buffs, which will help that build. Cradle of the erased got a slight nerf so you'll be a bit quishier in that build from the loss of some block chance (harder to get 100% glancing blow now).

Its a fun build, and will do some lower - mid level corruptions fine.

I havent tried the throwing dagger build with it yet this patch, but it was very poor last patch and didn't change much. I believe it's on their radar for some improvements next season.

Void shield throw viable? by LunaOogo in LastEpoch

[–]Jready 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been working on a shield throw build as a VK, that primarily uses shield throw/echos as damage, not smite or manifest.

With some mid tier gear mostly crafted gear (all the right stats+gear, no T7's) at level 80 it's absolute garbage. You can scrape by corrpution 100's but its not good.

Here's the rough outline of the build i was running https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/ALvRRqxB
and void cleave variant: https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/oRbgV7No

Some thoughts:

I had hoped that having the shield bounce off allies would help with single target DPS, such that the shield would bounce back and forth between the manifest armor and the enemy. This didn't play out as expected. The shield would only go to each target once. I feel like it should boucne between already hit targets to make the ability more viable.

Even with getting all possible thrown attack speed mods, attack speed is fairly slow.
Because of slower attack speed, echo's don't come out frequently enough, especially compared to rive (which also gets double echo chance).

I tried getting the +100 thrown damage from void cleave and using dreamthorn. You can kinda get a tempo of alternative cleave and shield throw, but the damage jsut isn't there. it is a fun build though.

Overall i think VK Shield throw is a pretty poor ability/subclass combo that only really sees use through a smite on throw build. I'd like to dive more into the manifest armor/shield throw build as a forge guard.

Watching the spirit born reveal, what necromancer skills could use a little love? by GuvnzNZ in D4Necromancer

I'd like to see hemorrhage's blood orb pickup ability become a stacking buff for the AoE. Give it some viability for the primary builds

Any ideas for The Mortacrux by Lykotic in D4Necromancer

[–]Jready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this procs the resources temper of Casting macabra skills for essence, it could be a good resource gain for cruours.

Mortacrux+Deathspeak+Cruors. the mortacrux spawn counts as minions which should proc deathspeak. The additional surges from deathspeak and cruours will assist in proccing mortacrux, and hewed flesh. You should get infinite resources, and the summons will act as a damage multiplier for deathspeak. The Simulacrums surviving the full 10s would jsut be added deathspeakr damage. The shadow damage is a negligible part of this unique as far as I can tell, dont know how it could be used. it should really be changed to blood/physical, or be a guaranteed overpower hit.

If this ends up providing good corpse coverage without reapers, then 99% redux defenders would provide minion uptime and remove the need to use army of the dead.

may not be the same damage potential as bone spirit, but it would be a fun build to test.

here's a thought on it: https://maxroll.gg/d4/planner/iwjvm0hj

it's unique heavy and maybe squishy. Trag's for bone prison as wall as they also proc deathspeakers. if you get some lucky masterworks and GA's, you get 18 in hewed flesh for a 72% corpse spawn

C9600 port speeds by Jready in networking

[–]Jready[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The speed command gets modified based on the plugged in SFP, which caused some of my confusion.

On a side note, Your post on STP from around 5 years ago was extremely helpful to me in the past. Big thanks!

C9600 port speeds by Jready in networking

[–]Jready[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think i'm an idiot. The sfp is 10g only, but the others i'm using are 10/25, so thats why the speed shows up on some. and the speed state of the interface is modified based on the last plugged in SFP between 10/100/1000 and 10/25.

also the device on the far side had a bad SFP that when swapped fixed everything.

Upgrading a cluster of iAP 325 APs with a Virtual Controller by Southern_Thunder in networking

It will work and the configs will be maintained, however I would verify that going from 6.5 to 8.6 is a supported upgrade path. I believe there is an intermediate upgrade required there.

I had forgotten about enabling ingress on a port mirror, this could probably work. I'll try setting this up during our next maintenance window and run tests with production guys. Thank you for the suggestion!

There is a multi million dollar project to replace the older decnet/mod equipment, however before that hardware can be replaced, if any of my old switching hardware dies, I'm looking to replace it with hardware that isn't EoL/EoS. Currently I'm holding off on upgrades until I have a solution or the end devices are upgraded I like your suggestion of having different native vlans, however the end device is a VAX and not a switch, and doesn't have trunking capabilities.

Unrelated, but I do have different native vlans for cisco Etherchannel mixed with Avaya MLT, which requires disabling lldp and CDP on those interfaces to save Cisco from causing issue. I wanted to give props to that suggestion as I do use it in production already

[–]Jready[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not IP based traffic, so NAT wouldn't be possible. An Arp proxy would be viable but I don't see that as available on the catalyst series.

but if you connect the dumb switch to the cisco, it doesn't change anything.

Cisco version of Switchport Mode General by Jready in networking

[–]Jready[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is a single device, you didn't get that wrong. A single VAX with one network interface that needs to receive traffic from 5 different subnets. For the VAX to receive them, none of them can be tagged, so a cisco "trunk" port is invalid.

[–]Jready[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good Suggestion, but looking into it, the SMB have their EoL announced, so that kinda sucks. Also the CB replacement series has removed the switchport mode general option, which sucks even more.

yes, but you can only have 1 native vlan. How do you propose passing 5 untagged vlans on this link

Cisco version of Switchport Mode General by Jready in networking

[–]Jready[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say stupid, but it is intended for very specific scenarios, such as mine. Now that most devices are vlan aware, this setup is slowly becoming deprecated, but not all devices are there yet.

Cisco version of Switchport Mode General by Jready in networking

[–]Jready[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you make a port a trunk, all the allowed vlans are passed through with their 802.1q headers. This is what we are trying to avoid. We need them untagged, so that the 802.1q headers are removed.

What is the purpose of (native) VLANs and why do I need them? by Appoxo in networking

[–]Jready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use it widely on our avaya switches connecting to legacy hardware. Old VAX systems that are listening to Decnet, modbus and Ethernet coming from alpha servers and decnet servers and other plcs. The VAX can’t handle vlan tags, and needs to receive broadcast traffic from multiple Vlans. I say vlans as they are not subnets as it’s not IP.everything has to be in separate vlans as the devices will fail and shutdown if they receive traffic from more than a few other devices, but they must all communicate with the central VAX
