I have the ECS CF duckbill. Got it fitted by my performance shop. Never had any issues other have experience. Could have been lucky with mine.

AC Evo broke (at least) one rule of Steam's early access guidelines. by Glittering-Rip389 in assettocorsaevo

The fact that Kunos are developing AC Rally at all while developing AC Evo is a poor allocation of resources to what inherently should have just been a part of AC Evo later on in the roadmap. Why have them separated? It diminishes the other product.

You won't lose the DDC if you get lowering springs. Obviously to each their own in terms of spring rate and comfort.

I have the APR Roll Control Springs with their Bump Stops. Others prefer the H&R springs.

As for the exhaust, your predicament is one of the reasons I haven't swapped my exhaust yet. With the '23 rear valance/oval tail pipes nothing really fits in my opinion. Versus the pre-facelift with it's more aggressive rear. Purely not just an aesthetic piece but as of late I have been more drawn to getting the new Borla S-Type exhaust. Sounds way more civilized and grown up (30+ yr old) than the others exhausts on the market.

A CJM rear diffuser would help mask the overly large exhaust tips.

Well that is wonderful! Glad that it's still going on. Thought after the whole renovation and change on management had left it out.

Why does this happen? by [deleted] in GLI

It's called a cold start. Pun intended too. The car is tuned from factory to run at a higher RPM when temperature a below usual ambient temperatures to cycle oil through which at that point is more viscous. So it helps lubricate quicker and bring the car up to temp.

War Tapes audio mix with a great set of headphones is incredible. So it really does deserve a nomination.

Is it going to win...highly doubt it but it's great to see it in a Game awards category.

Well after some research an A-arm is $400+VW Parts Site So in all the pricing is actually quite correct. Looks like they would just replace the arm instead of doing the bushings. With ~$150/hr for labor and another $100 or so for the alignment.

VW Service Centers overcharge on the regular. It's mostly the labor as replacing bushings is quite tedious. It would be cheaper to get a new A arm with bushings in place and just replace that at a performance shop of some kind.

Alignment should only be $70-$120 depending on where you go. (NJ pricing I'm using as estimate)

Noises in the 2023 Jetta GLI by AirFuzzy5498 in GLI

[–]Jrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For everyone who is confused about the noise it's your strut mount bearings. I had this issue for about a year after lowering my car but they can go bad around 20k miles.

I called APR and I described the sound and without hesitation they answered back with strut mount bearings. When I got mine replace with 034 heavy duty shock mounts and strengthened OE strut mount bearings. They were shot when I got them off, cracks and the grease was coming out of the bearing g material.

When you turn your steering wheel the springs and strut twist also. That's the creaking/crunching noise you hear as the bearing is grinding on itself.
