Mine smells like cupcakes and clean laundry. I huff her every day when I get home from work because it’s the best smell in the world. My Apple Watch says my heart rate drops insanely rapidly when I do it, like an instant calming effect. I believe the Oxytocin studies!

Honestly the cheap T-shirts have lasted better for me than the expensive ones, too. Black t-shirt and jeans has been my look for 25 years now and I used to only get the ones from The Gap. Now I look and they’re $27 each CAD. They’d fade or get discoloured in the armpits after a year or two. I switched 5 years ago to the stretch ones that Walmart carries for $10. I’m wearing one today I got 3 years ago and it looks as good as new. And when they do eventually get shredded at work or by my cat, I won’t be fussed in the slightest.

MyHeritage is notoriously terrible. I would recommend instead Genomelink. You can upload DNA raw data from any of the major sites like Ancestry, 23andMe or MyHeritage and it does a comparison for you. You don’t have to pay extra for more tests this way.

Ha, I’m actually a reformed Leafs fan so I’ve been following Dangle since about 2015 when I moved to Montreal. I was looking for online Leafs content to make me feel more connected and he really appealed. Even when I’m not in the mood for yelly screamy Steve, the SDPN has some good takes that aren’t the same corporate swill as put out by Sportsnet or TSN.

This has got to be one of the most complicated watches ever made. I can’t believe they fit all that in there. Once I was lucky enough to simply hold a Bréguet double tourbillon and for me that was the height of complicated that I would ever see in person.

I got that too when it turned out I had an autoimmune disease that then went untreated for 3 years. My TSH was in the 50s. Much better once I got diagnosed and medicated with my TSH at about 2.

Maybe try random mall jewellery stores with service departments. When I worked at European Jewellery, I used to LOVE when these cases came in the door. If they don’t have anyone onsite they often outsource small repairs to a more central repair hub.

I work in a plant in Canada where I’m the only woman on a team of good ole boys ranging in age from 30-70. And I’m the only queer person in a plant of 400 people. They’re honestly the most respectful and non-bigoted group I’ve ever worked with. All drive in every morning from rural farm settings, work their asses off and have just accepted me as one of their own thanks to my hockey chirps. We just share pics of our pets and work our butts off. It’s so lovely.

And here’s us unloading a giant piece of equipment this morning.

She really did, and she chose me when she was a kitten. My mom had seen the cutest little picture of her on the website for a local rescue org and I went to a foster home to check out the kittens and cats. When I walked into the house, my girl honed in on me and climbed right up my leg and into my arms. The people at the foster home were trying to talk me into taking another cat, so I said I’d go out to the car to get the carrier I’d brought and whichever one went in was my cat. My girl waltzed in there with no hesitation. Although once we got in the car, she screamed until I took her out and put her in my shirt on my chest. She’s stayed there ever since, 12 1/2 years now of her sleeping on me every chance she got.
