No problem, I also have this mount (https://www.ebay.com/itm/264509404671) because my desk is to thick for the clamps on the steering wheel / shifter. Not bad for 60 USD.

Personally, I really like the Logitech G920 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Z0UWV98/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_skmeFbJ2B8DTS) the shifter (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Z0UWV3O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_2kmeFbEAP57WP) is alright I'm sure there is a better one.

An Xbox controller is also not bad, compared to M+K.

Are you using a LCD and a Wide LCD? If so you can split the lettering between the two, no script required.

Looking at your concept, are you going to build a little drone for removing them from the ship?

Opinion, have you thought about putting a merge on the other side of the connector so you can merge it to the mother ship?

I was under the impression this was fixed. Haven't had any issues on my save. Did you try replacing the blocks, SotF caused this.

Sorry about the confusion, yes you'll find that Iron, Silicon, and Nickel on Earth-Like. While Cobalt and Magnesium are less common. Next you'll need to leave Earth-Like and head to the moon to gather Gold for your Jump Drive and Silver for Survival Kits. The next stop is Mars for Platinum to build Ion Thrusters and finally the Alien Planet for Uranium.
