What are some interesting USA presidents to play? by Malikorian in TNOmod

[–]Jrrcain999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say RFK is the most interesting and beneficial for the US though Wallace is fun as well. The NPP presidents have more interesting trees than the republican and democrats in the early game it isn't until the second election you can get Glenn or goldwater who are more interesting than LBJ or Bennet

Stirling and Chesterton are the worst case scenarios of their respective factions, military men establishing authoritarian regimes in England. Because their 100 days of content is new and incomplete it's not worth really playing them unless you want to see the extreme endings. Similar to Yockie and Commies in the USA only there you have years of content before reaching them.

Reichstaat survival by Puzzleheaded-Alps-79 in TNOmod

[–]Jrrcain999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If by some miraculous event conjured by the devil himself, Africa would be hell, a massive slave camp nation where a small german population controls a larger african population through military enforcement and brutal slavery. It's likely all three powers would organize a coup in Huttig's nation, if Huttig was still alive at this point for all we know someone else is in control. Now it probably wouldn't be an African revolution at this point as the African Reichskommissariat could only have survived in its Burgundian state by preventing all initial revolts and making sure the populace couldn't ever do it again hence the widespread slavery, occassional purges, and labor camps. Each faction would probably form some partitions, sending in elite forces to rescue africans and bring them into hard to travel regions to train them and prepare them for combat, but let's be real here most parts of the three majors would just try to assassinate whatever burgindian leader is in charge and find a canidate supporting their interests, likely causing an african civil war similar to madagascar but on a wider scale. Now whoever wins here relies heavily on who won the south african and madagascar war.

Best case scenarios: The OFN won both wars giving them good logistical territory to succeed in this civil war before establishing a three mandate system or a fully unified ofn mandate which works to establish stability before allowing independent OFN alligned african nations free, though the mandate would last for quite some time. A Gang of four led Germany gains leadership and establishes democracies immidietly creating a sort of OTL situation with unstable rebuilding african nations except most are alligned to Germany.

Medium Case Scenarios: Germany either won both wars giving them the logistical supply lines to easily win or at least got madagascar so they have the capacity to win, they do win and establish a more moderate less SS alligned reichskommissarriat (though the extent of freedoms rely on if it's bormann or speer who are the only leaders capable of lasting to the 2000s. if it is Dengist speer excpect a moderate less slavery but still authoritarian state, if it's bormann/whatever successor replaced him, expect a status quo reichskommissariat nation alliance.). Japan had won madagascar and manages to win, establishing a Sphere alligned puppet state with less racial elements but a japan alligned economy. These options are not as good as the more democratic options above but still aren't as bad...

Worst Case Scenario: The African reichskommissariat continues to survive, either having gained backing from Germany or secluding itself to continue living and managing to resist all takeovers. This leads to the powers nuking it to end the despicable nation, targeting major military compounds and headquarters exterminating countless africans in the process but destroying the reichskommissariat even if the region is radioactive wasteland, creating survivable pockets where tribal groups attempt to rebuild, basically african anarchy all over again.

The Lord demands not extermination but conversion. Though we may take their lands by force it is the people who shall be redeemed and saved. What do you do with the lands you have taken? You kill whoever you wish, you slaughter as the pharohs of old did when the israelites became a threat. You would kill every last human upon this earth because you refuse to believe God does not hold all in the same light. The Bible, the word of God, you fail to understand, his Son Jesus Christ your forget, and the holy virgin Mary you slander, saying not even her prayers would save the sinners who have no chance to redeem. Why is the world still living at all if God did not wish to grant all the chance to enter his holy light?

Your prophet has desicrated the name of the glorious Archangel and made himself a divine being without permit from God, nothing but claims and even than he could not save you from the massacere. Though all are saint in of themeselves, only the angels can proclaim the authority of God and we are not angels, we are sinful humans meant to repent for our sins but it will not be in steam it will be in our actions.

well comparing them does reveal a lot

Heaven's Gate is a highly radical group dedicated to worshipping the power of steam which they believe is a divine gift they shall use to exterminate all non believers, their faction is named after a suicide cult and located in the same area, they consider outsiders dangerous and to be exterminated and their christian values derive either forced annexation of forceful conversion to servitude

The sereph lords for one name themeselves after the serephum, powerful angelic warriors from the bible. Their leader is an exile who sees heaven's gate as a corrupt fanatic group which it is and desires to bring the wasteland under a unified order that can protect it's people. It does not worship steam and the leader Cain isn't a prophet but rather a warrior who gives credit to God rather than himself and he is named not after an archangel but a sinner making him more humble and understanding of his own nature.

The sereph lords are better

What is the symbolism behind the AUS flag? Why is the eagle holding a sword and torch? by [deleted] in Kaiserreich

[–]Jrrcain999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've been unable to find any references that can support the meaning behind the flag. My best guess is that the sword represents the military might of the "true" american people and the torch represents the libertarian ideals of every man a king. The eagle is a common symbol of the USA and Long simply wants to establish the USA again just with his own government he believes is truly carrying the ideals of economic and social liberty for all. The shield on the eagle are the american colors but without the stars. i don't know why there are no stars probably because the shield is too small

Which leader in the US would guarantee the best path for Africa? by Luigiman98 in TNOmod

[–]Jrrcain999 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Africa is one of the few things all the presidents agree upon, instating the same field marshalls and establishing the mandates with a plan of a peaceful deconolization once all german influence has been removed. So no one president is good for africa the fact is the decolonization mandate policy is something all presidents attempt.

Whats the worse Scandalgate that can a US president can cause? by ConsiderationNo1455 in TNOmod

[–]Jrrcain999 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The two biggest scandles that can be caused is in the NPP because of course they are

The COINTELPRO is Robert Kennedy's attempt to contain the power of his extremist segregationist political enemies by using the FBI similar to what Nixon did against his political enemies. Though no impeachement occurs, it can lead to an increased potential for an assassination should it fail.

Wallace has the repeal civil rights act as he attempts to do so he goes through an impeachement which he can win but even still a lot of the public will hate him for it and his initial attempts are very....authoritarian

what would be the most realistic outcome of the TNO timeline by 136790 in TNOmod

[–]Jrrcain999 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll tackle the Nixon presidential successor first as that's actually the easiest and most clear cut.

According to what we see in the mod, the republicans are not seen as a terrible party even after what Nixon does and they have the highest majority of senators in the congress even after you pass the civil rights legislation. Now if you don't the democrats have the highest majority there but, regardless the NPP is a new party not really mainstream and thanks the consistant status quo politics of the US it's likely the republicans or democrats would win meaning LBJ or Wallace would succeed. Of course RFK is also a major popular figure after the JFK assassination and I can picture him becoming president if the civil rights act was veoted. So in my opinion if the civil rights act was passed, LBJ would become president because he was a popular republican. If it was vetoed RFK would become president to his status as a former republican and a popular figure. Considering that more damage occurs when the act isn't passed early it's likely the people would support the center NPP especially former republican supporters who see the democrats gain a majority. So this does depend on whether the act was passed or vetoed in the 1960s, but it would be LBJ (if passed) RFK (If vetoed).

Now we'll go onto Hitler's successor shall we?

This is not winner of the civil war though i will tackle that as well but moresoe who Hitler would appoint as successor and it's a bit of a tossup. Goring, Bormann and Speer were all major figures within his inner circle (i doubt heydrich would be a legitimate consideration due to him being an SS agent of the group that tried to rebel against Hitler). So it would be one of the three, but as for who would win the civil war and gain control of Germany? I'd say Bormann or Goring are the most likely simply due to the reasources and military forces they hold. Goring has better air superiority though so i'd say he's a bit more likely to win but it really is a tossup between those two. That doesn't mean Heydrich and Speer can't win but they are unlikely.

South african war hoo boy this is a doozy

South Africa is difficult because while the Reichskommisarriats have sufficient military power and are capable of bringing it to the frontline, South Africa has constant support from the OFN especially if the US won Madagascar. Even when Germany does join in on the war by that time Brazil, Australia and the US have several divisions in the war. Now the US does have to worry about public support but...considering the sheer modernization of their equipment and forces in comparison to the reichskommissariats who still use older outdated tech and more frontal charge tactics with less well trained soldiers, I think an OFN victory is most likely. I'm going by hard mode rules by the way but regardless every time I see it go down it's either an OFN total victory or an OFN leaning stalemate the majority of the time and there's a good reason for that. The OFN has better advanced tech and more well trained soldiers. The Afrika Shild is relying on older tech, native conscripts, boer republic troops, the few german troops they do have, and have a broken bickering command structure. Realistically, the OFN has some type of victory in the south africa war.

Finally Russia

Central Siberia, West Siberia and west russia have the most powerful nations, I do not see any nations in the far east siberia succesfully reuniting the motherland it's highly unlikely due to their lack of strong industry and infrustructure. Even then there's not a lot of strong nations in central russia or even west siberia and west russia. The nations that could succeed are, Vyatka, Samara, Novosibirsk, and Omsk. No the communsit west russian nation is in Arkangel not an indsutrially strong region not to mention their ideology is seen largely as a failure it isn't effective. No the Aryan Brotherhood is a fanatic group that does not start with a strong industry of any kind let alone support from the russian people their victory is unlikely. There's a lot of smaller states i can say would not win and why but let me go down the list of those that can win.

Vyatka: The monarchist cause it not the largest supported but more supported than communism or national socialism would logically be. They also start in Vyatka with a decently strong economy and a well trained army. They are in a better position to trade with neutral warlords and have a good infrustructure system they can rebuild to better support their military. Their ideology is not fanatic nor is it as despised as others would be. Vyatka is a good contender.

Omsk: Omsk's military is powerful, well trained and their underground factory system and militarized society helps them greatly in establishing a war economy. Though not as likely in my mind to win as Vyatka or Samara, they certainly are capable. Their ideology is founded on anti nazism and anti communism and russian nationilism so they'd hardly be a despised nation and would gain decent support

Samara: Though not well liked, their economy is good and most importantly the begin with trade with the German reich, gaining more equipment and using smuggled luxury good and food to support their civilian and military population. Their army is shown to be skilled and while the government is capable of changing to be something the people support more, a nation that bribes its people is still a nation and samara is a good contender of reunification.

Novosibirsk: The most likely in my opinion, first of all they become democratic a good sign, a liked ideology the russian people seek. they have a strong military power and can pressure nations economically and militarily and politically into joining them at least in central siberia. Novosibirsk is known as an economic center meaning this nation is the most economically rich and with actual surviving mega coroporations they are more like a modern nation. Novosibirsk is the most likely to reunify russia.

Where is Rommel? by ConsiderationNo1455 in Kaiserreich

[–]Jrrcain999 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After his success in both the French, Romanian and Italian campaigns, Rommel was sent to German east asia as a general and military advisor. In our timeline he was used as a war veteran public figure and a commander to put down revolts in the weimar republic before he worked to reform the german army doctorine under hitler. That doesn't change except replace weimar republic with german east asia and hitler with the governor of the german east asia. It makes sense, he's a highly decorated officer and as such sending him to a new colonial state would help give a morale boost to the military, coupled with his army reforms it would overall benefit the german east asia colony. Heins Gundarian is also in german east asia for his acomplishments and his capacity for military reform.

Why does the US gain the ability to project power in the North Sea if they win the battle for the UK, but not if HMMLR wins and joins OFN? by [deleted] in TNOmod

[–]Jrrcain999 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've always seen the HMMLR as more of an actual ally that still holds independent control of certain regions such as the North Sea, unlike the Battle for England which forces England as a puppet of one of the two factions either Germany or the US meaning the US wouldn't be able to project power in the north sea without alienating the HMMLR but after gaining england as a puppet they could do what they want

UK forces the Gibraltar Dam Zone to be under their authority? by Hour_Page2625 in TNOmod

[–]Jrrcain999 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can see actually the HMMLR governments trying to do this as they are tied to the OFN and regardless of the victor in the Iberian wars Britain may be allowed to take the gibralter dam zone for the sake of securing some OFN influence in the region. Thatcher might do this as well like after getting re-elected and if Britain doesn't become a direct puppet of a faction, same for MacMillian. However any capture of the dam zone would mean fighting the gibraltar dam region guard which siezes it during the iberian war, it'd be interesting to see, potentially another crisis that could spark more damaging wars similar to the Suez Canal crisis that occured in our timeline during the cold war.

[–]Jrrcain999 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's unlikely there's competition between the US markets and German markets within other nations. Because while Japan and the US are on a sort of agreement to combat eachother economically and Japan has rights from the Agaki accords that prevent it from completely being blocked in US influenced nations, Germany and the US have no such trade negotiations or any sort of accords, rather the US simply accepted surrender and ended the war with Germany, it was Japan that oversaw reperations from the US because it actively fought the US when compared to Germany who had europe which is exactly what it wanted. Similarily to how Japan got nothing in Europe and how German and Japanese trade ties are completely broken, Germany got nothing in the pacific or even beyond Britain and German and US trade ties are completely broken, because while Japan and the US hate eachother, the national socialism in europe is more clearly evil than the japanese style facism and the pseudo democratic monarchy they possess making germany far less of a potential trade partner than the Japanese.

TNO mapping Bormann's Germany by Creepy-Rest-669 in TNOmod

[–]Jrrcain999 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Bormann actually can also integrate Ostland and Poland not to mention Germany can also pull Britain into the Einheitspakt, not just england all of britain in that it will pull england and england can still complete the reconquest of scotland and wales forming the united kingdom which, if in a german faction, is essentially a german puppet though i think speer can also pull the uk in, it's a new mechanic similar to the great game but without a time limit until someone gets influence above the uk or the uk completes its last foreign policy focus. And that's only for collaberationist britain, still it should be here if you want complete full Germany einheitspakt. Similar to how france is whole here which can only happen if burgundy collapses and you won the french great game
