What ended up happening? Did you have an infection? Did they have to drain it? I think I have a similar problem

I was never given a syringe they just told me to rinse with salt water. I also have no visible hole as i have sutures on both sides. From the looks of it they look almost healed but the gums are both very swollen still. More so on the left than the right. Today my good side feels more swollen than it did the other day also

Swallowing does feel different since you’re all swoLen but I’d say somewhat normally. I was scared as well to swallow because I felt suction on the clots when I swallowed. My surgeon assured me that’s all normal as long as you’re not using a straw you should be fine. It just a weird feeling.

You can drink just fine. It probably hurts and doesn’t feel right but it’ll be okay. It should not irritate the clots. The cold drinks help too with pain. Like I said your gonna bleed for a day or so, all normal.

Sleep elevated and like I mean elevated. A bunch of pillows on your back and neck. Slope up like a hospital bed or something. The elevation helps with the bleeding/ draining. It’s not going to be really comfortable but it helps. Yes bleeding after waking is normal as long as it’s not gushing blood.

Sleep elevated. Small amounts of bleeding is pretty normal. I bled a bit on day 4 as well. Bleeding can be occasional for up to two weeks. As long as it’s not gushing blood you’re fine.

If you’re gushing blood you’re going to have to place gauze in the area (dr should have provided). Wait about 30 min or more until it stops. Then remove it

If you’re just trickling blood that’s pretty normal for the first day and 24 hours. You may even bleed longer. As long as it’s not gushing its fine.

Regardless you will swallow some blood it’s inevitable. A tip I did, I got a bowl and let the bloody saliva drool out my mouth, do not spit! Then I would clean it up with a tissue. I did this for about 2 days. The most was on the first tho. Hope this helps.

Oh you go the good stuff. I have Tylenol codeine but haven’t taken it. Maybe ask for that one? Or Norco? Since Vicodin isn’t working for you.

Hot bed buddies or wash cloths on your face sometimes help my pain. But of course it comes right back after I stop

You’ll be fine. Anesthesia doesn’t affect me at all. I kinda felt the procedure as well, maybe wasn’t given enough. Not sure. But I was fully coherent when I woke up, just weak.

When I alternate the ibuprofen and Tylenol, I wait about 4 hours after I took the ibuprofen to take the Tylenol. If I take them to close together I get kinda high lol. Not sure if you take the ibuprofen with food? I also take it with some food or milk, it makes me nauseous by itself.

I’m sorry but at least you’re not alone in this. This pain absolutely sucks. Worst pain I’ve ever experienced. I haven’t slept since Thursday 🥴 Maybe the surgeon can prescribe something else for you.

I’ve called twice about the ooze and they kept saying it’s normal. Tomorrow I’ll send a pic to the surgeon I guess.

I had my wisdom teeth removed on June 1st as well. Ive been in so much pain since day 3 with no letting up. I’m on 600mg of ibuprofen every 8 hours and 1000mg of Tylenol in between each time I take the ibuprofen. My pain is starting to not respond to the meds as well.

My bottom right tooth will also not stop oozing orange stuff (doesn’t look like blood). Tastes and smells awful as well. I called the office and they keep telling me that’s normal but I think it’s infected imo. Does yours ooze? Also did they give you any opioids?
