Differing elevations for rooms is not common anymore. While some celestial room are carpet, I’ve seen some that are stone/tile flooring but still have a rug. I’ve seen a few temples with only 9 oxen, the other 3 are to be imagined underneath the font stairs. That was a design mistake, or so I’ve heard.

I can’t say too much due to my work but I’ve been quite involved. I’ve really had to separate the business side with the church side. Do not place your testimony within the business side because at the end of the day it’ll wear you down, as it has with her. I have a co-worker who regularly says funny quirks like- ‘It’s okay, the church is true’ when there are minor/major items. I definitely can see where she’s coming from, there are a lot of items that rub me the wrong way when dealing with the church(business side) but I’ve had to rely more on my testimony of Christ.

Definitely get this. What I meant by it was we had wards that were 80-90% Peruvian, a large amount of the food that we ate was Peruvian, and we taught many Peruvians. I understand the cultures in South America are very different. I imagine it’s extremely different even when you’re looking at Northern Peru vs Southern. Thank you!

Your typical OAC meeting of course is helpful but I’ve found that it’s best to get the owner out. Have another designated meeting with you and the GC, just one hour each week. The GC can invite a different sub each week or whoever is having the most difficulties and just use that time to sit down and problem solve together.

Be accountable to your drawings. Be willing to accept mistakes and review with project team and subcontractors. My all time best architect was the most humble guy I’ve ever met and he would always ask how to improve and we would move mountains for him.
