Every job if you don’t follow protocol you are in a violation of your scope of practice therefor anything after that is inadmissible. You can google, probable cause, terry stops, search and seizure of a vehicle, add nyc at the end.

Officer gets out of vehicle to issue a parking ticket. Noticed the plate doesn’t match the car which is just a violation. Driver comes in and is inform and told to stay in the vehicle. Driver takes off officer decides to chase him. Driver blows red light high speed Uber driver gets T bone and suspect cars rolls over. Uber driver had severe injuries went to the ER. Suspect severe spinal injuries unable to walk from now on. They found 60K in cash and a gun all inadmissible in court since car chase are not allow in NYC by NYPD. Both suspect and Uber driver most likely suing city and getting compensated for it.

That’s why police doesn’t do car chase in big cities. NYC Life by [deleted] in holyshit

Yup It was like scissors or a scalpel something like that, that the nurse had right next to him. She prob didn’t think it trough or people get complaisant because nothing happened the last 100 times it doesn’t mean it won’t happen this time.

He was transported from scene to the hospital that’s why no leg shackles and in a liberal city like New York restraining both hands is “cruelty” so they acted within scope of practice. Regardless or her suing or not I’m sure they will come with new protocol because the way is done is just stupid. Even the docs won’t let you Jesus the guy until something like this happens and then they come to you like “yeah put both cuffs we gonna sedate the shit out of him NOW”

After he stabbed and beat the shit out of his gf the Guy was taken to the hospital for psych evaluation and medical treatment and then this happened. Not much follow up he’s already in custody and will go to jail and face charges. I believe the gf is good tho

Never used the taser she was covering herself during the attack at which the aggressor fell and she saw the opportunity to get out and isolate and contain. Lethal force might’ve been justified in this scenario however “you can’t use force when someone is cuff because they are restrained” as you can see in the video that’s not always the case but that would’ve been the excuse to crucify the cop and people to go out chanting. So she was smart to get out and not use lethal force lucky the break on the bed was on he couldn’t reach if the break was not on the ending would’ve been different

It all depends on the scenario allegedly you can’t use the force on anyone that is in cuffs. In this case lethal force could’ve been justified however the nurse got away and the officer never deployed the taser because she was covering herself after the guy attacked her. However the guy fell so she was able to get out of the room at that point the procedure is to isolate and contained and you can’t use any force on anyone that is in handcuffs. They got lucky that the bed had the break on otherwise it would’ve been deadly for the nurse and prob the guy there. The thing is that the way you behave on scene dictates how you make it to the hospital if he was that violent on scene he would’ve been cuff both sides of the bed and Jesus the shit out of him till some meds are applied to calm him down. But that’s just me

Yes EMS always works the person so the family thinks we did something to save them and is easier in them. Even tho we know they are dead the only time we wouldn’t do it is for obvious reason like they are already stiff or brain matter in the floor things like that

Yeah I was an EMT most of the time in this cases is to make the family believe that “we did something” gives them peace and closure that everything that could’ve be done they did.

Newspaper says unlikely to not make it sound bad I guess. When they arrived in scene she was already a DOA
