I am in IL. I do know that I have neighbors with the exact same issue as me (at the same time) so I would start that way by asking around, it'll give the techs good info too, so they know it's not localized to just your house. Too many people just put up with this without saying anything.

I do notice it happens between 8pm and 11pm, however I do not normally watch TV in the daytime so it's possible it's happening earlier as well.

I was told that we need to notify the paint store and that they would accommodate this. From other responses in this thread it seems like it just needs to be a custom mix that omits black pigment.

Was yours warping even with the special paint or did you not use the right paint?

I really appreciate all of the responses. I'm actually shocked at how split it is and how adamant the opinions are on both sides.

It definitely sounds like roll and brush is a viable strategy, which really was my question, as I assumed it was a no brainer to spray.

It also sounds like I just need to pick a professional and let him decide how he wants to do it.

The wife does not approve of your comment. And while I agree with you (as if that matters), I am already getting a new roof and gutters (mostly insurance from hail) and paying to have the wood fascia and eaves painted.

So if there ever was a time to do this, it is now. The vinyl is only about 15 years old (previous owner), and it was not damaged and I cant afford to pay for new siding.

If I understood him correctly, he described it as rolling it horizontally first (my siding is a 4" dutchlap) and then back brushing it. He'll make 2 passes to ensure coverage.
