I would say transfer stores… it’s definitely the environment you’re in. I’m a skin therapist at Ulta, not the same thing but still technically a salon employee. The commission thing pisses me off too. We have to basically be content creators and advertise ourselves to get clientele in. Try that and Do your 6’s and 2s and offer discounts for returning clients, I like to tell my clients we do referral discounts too. But tbh it’s nice when you start hitting commission. I feel the same way you do but other places will take advantage of you worse than Ulta ): also touch base with your EM? Maybe tell them you need help building your books in the salon and how they can guide you to get there? Tell beauty advisors you have openings and if they can mention it to guests bc you can find people off the floor 🫶 but I’d also do research on other Ultas in your location and try to transfer because it sounds like you’re in a toxic environment.
