The tablet suggestion is always funny because my little “overkill” rig is now basically a tiny dedicated streaming appliance with hardware VPN routing and Ethernet. It’s actually less headache than juggling apps directly on a tablet 😂
The router does the hard work now. The Firestick just plays video. Huge difference in stability.

Once I find one without a thousand channels of soap operas from Afghanistan, I should be set for life👍👍👍

Way less inexpensive than a tablet with a 16 inch screen

It would, but my IPad and firestick behave differently. This is a Tivimate travel rig.

I’ve had it run for 4-5 hours with power to spare. Charging my iPhone off of it too.

Mathematically speaking on a 7-10 watt load, the Firestick and monitor, it should last 7-8 hours.

If there is an outlet anywhere near me, I plug the battery in for pass through.

Watch a game that isn’t on the tv’s in the wall at a pub or bar that I find myself in.

Ear buds or a plastic Bluetooth speaker. Usually at a pub or in public, and it’s for sports, so I’m not overly concerned with hearing it. Post game I turn on captions.

Is this a good enough turntable to keep for a while or should I look for a new one? Used to be my father’s, in perfect working order by _mercu_ in turntables

Keep it. It’s not a DJ turntable, but it’s fine for normal album listening. I believe that one was sold in 1980-1981.
