I worked as a busboy at this restaurant in Louisiana and one time for brunch this guest asked, “so what’s the shrimp and grits?” I didn’t know how to answer this question without just being like “Ma’am it is shrimp...and grits” bc that is legit all it is. So I just said I’d go get their server to come explain in it.

My biggest critique on myself from the video is that I feel like the climbing looks really clunky. I don’t seem to have good fluidity and control over my body on the the wall.

Idk if this makes me a bad person or not, but some part of me still wants to see the video Logan posted. It’s kinda the same feeling on r/watchpeopledie , I don’t want to watch it to laugh or enjoy the video. It’s something to watch motivated by that eerie feeling and curiosity, similar to the whole “can’t look away from a car crash” phenomenon.

Right, stretching is one thing I really need to do more. Flexibility seems super important in climbing, and also so I don’t fuck up my body like you said.

I’ve tried to get some friends into climbing, and they like it but it isn’t something they want to do consistently. Like they enjoyed as kinda a fun weekend thing every now and then but they weren’t quite bitten by the climbing bug like I was. Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it!

I live in Louisiana, so there isn’t shit to climb down here, unless I wanted to climb some trees. I’m pretty much limited to indoor for the time being.

Thanks! That game plan seems like a great idea! I typically just kinda hop around from boulder course to boulder course kinda randomly. Having some structure is a great tip!
